On 7/31/23 I had this business come out to look at a tree branch on my house. I had called them on 7/29/23 and they stated they would be out that day. It took two days and multiple phone calls before the team arrived. The team was a single person in a pickup truck. He took the branch off the house and moved it to the road. That was fine. He then left my property without saying he was done or giving me a bill. I had to chase him down the street waving him down to stop. He then told me that I wouldnt be getting a bill it would go straight to the insurance company. My insurance company received his bill with was $11,300. For two branches to be removed. In the breakdown on the bill he charged $75 an hour to have a road sign up for 8 hours. He was there for 3 hours total. No written estimate was given prior to the service. He also claimed to be a family run business with ****************************************************************************************************** business for 4 years total

On 7/24/2022, I had a small limb that had partially cracked and was resting on my roof. I called Michigans choice tree service to come out and cut out the limb. After showing pictures and communicating with ****, he told me that it was Small limb with not much weight on the tips. It should be fine to wait for a little bit. We are aiming to be out there this afternoon. The company never came and I had to reach out to them for an update. They said they would be out the next morning at 8 and still did not show up until 9:50am. **** wanted me to send everything through insurance and would skip sending me the **** all together since insurance would cover it. I had ended up canceling my claim so that I could pay out of pocket after speaking with other insurance advisers and finding out other quotes knowing that it should not come close to reaching my deductible. When I asked for a copy of the detailed **** so I could decide what I wanted to do, I was sent a **** for $14,773.72! This **** claims to be for a tree removal, I had one small limb cut out. I have asked **** and his company to reevaluate this ****, give them another chance to fix this, but he stands by his cost and tree removal fees. This is insurance fraud at its finest. As well as inaccuracies of charges and taking pure advantage of their customer.
