      I was sold a 2017 Buick Encore by Sundance dealership in ************************* in December of 2023. This car was sold to me for ****** dollars. This car was advertised as all wheel drive but it was not because the rear drive shaft was missing. A few weeks after buying this car, my home town mechanic told me it was not all wheel drive and that my rear drive shaft is missing. After being told this, an in person visit was made back to Sundance to address it. We were turned away away by Sundance and told that newer cars don't have rear drive shafts and my small town mechanic doesn't keep up on technology and doesn't know what he's doing. Since then, I've had several sensors replaced and a new engine put in. For the engine replacement I used ****** Bodyshop in **************, different mechanic than my home town mechanic. When they replaced the engine, they also told me the rear drive shaft is missing. This prompted me to take the car back to Sundance and after they looked at it, they agreed the drive shaft is missing and there should be one there. Sundance installed a new drive shaft and by doing that it revealed a much bigger problem and the reason why it was removed in the first place. Sundance said the rear differential is no good. I never would have bought this car and Sundance never would have put that car on the lot for sale if they would've checked the drive shaft. Sundance is telling me all they can do is give me ***** dollars towards a new car on their lot. I feel like I should be refunded my money for this car. I feel completely taken advantage of.

      Unfortunately, the customer elected to pursue service work at a difference service facility instead of bringing the vehicle back to ** where we would potentially be able to help her.  Subsequently, we had arranged for the customer to come back in and trade out of the car.  Instead of coming here, she went to our Chevrolet Dealership and traded out of the vehicle.  It was our understanding at that point that the issue was resolved.

      Sundance Buick GMC **** of ***** ***** sold me a car with pre-existing engine defects.I asked to return the car to them since its been less than 30 days since purchasing the car from them. They wont take the car back.

      Clicked submit in error the first time.  We apologize for the delayed response.  We were not originally aware of the complaint.

      We have reviewed the Used Car Inspection and the paperwork for the transaction.  The Used Car Inspection did not indicate an issue with the motor.  Also, the customer purchased a warranty with the vehicle so if there was an issue after the customer took delivery, it should have had coverage.  However, the customer cancelled the warranty shortly after purchase.

      9/20/22 is when I purchased a vehicle for Sundance Buick and GMC In *************, ** they have discovered something when I was supposed to drive it off the lot, and they had to keep it to fix it, I called and called with a lack of communication on there part. which frustrated me the guy that sold me the truck was never there, on with my truck they had for bout a month and half, then the final tell that they fixed it, had for about week and half and something else is wrong with the truck so they had to take it back on 11/28/22 is when the had taken it back and it is 12/14 and I have heard nothing from them and, the tire that were on truck when I first bought the truck are not the same ones that are on it now I've been keeping up on my monthly payments and I'm not happy with there service

      Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention.


      ******************** did purchase a Ram pickup from us.  At the time of delivery, as we were fueling the vehicle for him to take home, the service engine light came on.  We scanned the truck and found trouble codes for a misfire.  As a GM dealer, we sublet the vehicle to a local Ram Dealer for diagnostics.  The result of the diagnostic was that the vehicle required a motor replacement.  We did this obviously at our expense.  Unfortunately this was a time intensive repair, however we did make a free loaner available to ******************** while his vehicle was in service.


      We completed the work and ******************** took the truck home.  He brought it back 3 weeks later with service concerns unrelated to the motor replacement.  Unfortunately, the warranty company's policy is to conduct a thorough review before approval of additional repairs to be certain that they were not related to the former repairs.  As of today (December 16, 2022), we have received approval from the warranty company so that we can move forward with repairs.


      At no point have we conducted any work or repairs on the wheels or tires of the truck.  These are the same wheels and tires that were on the truck at the time of delivery.
