    We had a garage fire July 28, 2023. A Fine Finishing was paid a $40,000 deposit to fix our house from smoke and soot damage. They quit May 30, 2024 after doing only demolition. They refused to communicate with us regarding reconciliation, and routed all communications through a lawyer. Their lawyer sent 3 reconciliations all filled with misinformation and erroneous data. I had to then create a file filled with photographic evidence that they in fact didn't do thousands of dollars of work they claimed they did. They still haven't refunded us the remaining deposit, and now are trying to force us to sign a legal document saying we (or any other family member current or future) will not file a complaint against them. We want our money back, without signing rights away, and ideally with interest.
