  Do not use AIS.Their installers are terrible and their customer ********************** is even worse.Their installer walked off the job, he was rude and un professional **** from their carpet install department never returned our calls.This is the worst flooring installation experience ever and it is still not completed.

  Had to give one star and that was because ****, who works in the **************** was fantastic. The rest of AIS, including the main office in ************, **...well...very obvious they do not care.So thank you ****...it was a pleasure working with you even though I was beyond frustrated at times. So the issue started when the installers came out that Tuesday (they were scheduled to come out Monday but their van ***************** would think such a big company would have more than once vehicle that could be used), ripped out the old carpeting and all was good, until they took the old stuff out of a 3x3 closet and was told that the linoleum on that floor looked like it had asbestos. So, they stopped everything and left. I asked why they couldn't do all but that closet and was told it was all one piece (even though it wasn't, which we found out when installers did show up a week and a half later). Then the rest of that week we were waiting for them to come back out, finally had an appointment for Sunday and gee...no one showed up, no phone call...NOTHING. Of course they are all closed on Sundays so left voice messages/texts to whomever we could. Come Monday, was told they were working on it and would get it taken care of soon. Tuesday...called and said they could come out on Friday...one week and 4 days later than when it was supposed to be installed. Never heard from the ******************* or any of the other multitude of people we left messages and texts for. Totally unacceptable for a company of this size to treat their customers this way. OH...and on top of that, we had to pay $100 extra for a second trip...when the closet was NOT asbestos and it cost us extra money to have someone remove that. And on top of that...AIS manager finally said you should never mess with asbestos and take it out if it isn't damaged. So even the company doesn't know what is right and what is wrong. **** says a lot about them!!!! Never Again...NEVER

  Purchased carpet and vinyl flooring through *********** which was problematic from the start. Regarding the install from AIS (Mid ******** area), there was a big disconnect between them and ********** regarding what would be brought on site by them and the scheduling. Scheduled install for a Friday and they showed up the Monday before. Sent them away. The day of install, they showed up without the carpet, asking me where it was. Left and came back with it 3 hours later. I had a room with part carpet and part hardwood to cover. Was told by ********** that AIS would build the floor to level. AIS said they don't deal with "structural stuff", so had to do that myself. Finished install does look good. They wouldn't remove excess carpet after install. ********** said the site would be cleared completely. Had a LOT of extra carpet (**********'s poor measuring). AIS did a follow up phone call to rate the work. I expressed my concerns and they said they would have a manager call me. I've called them again since. They won't return the call.

  Purchased carpet at *********** *** was supposed to install for them and they did give me an install date. After days of work to prepare the living room for new carpet, they called the day of the scheduled install and cancelled. "Maybe" they could get it done 4 or 5 days later, more likely the following week I bet. My kitchen is filled with living room furniture. It's unusable. Other rooms are filled with stacks of books and more LR furniture. My home can't remain in this condition while AIS figures out when they can do the job they contracted with ********** to do! I cancelled the carpet. ********** needs to find a REPUTABLE company to do their installation.

  Their installer came to install carpet I bought from *********** When he came in I asked him to take his shoes off and he told me that he had to lay the carpet with his shoes on. I asked him if he had shoe covers and he said no. He said he would call his boss to see what he said. He stepped outside and came back and said his boss said no. (He didnt call) So I called AIS after he left to see what to do. She said usually the customer provides shoe covers. I told her i would be happy to, I just didn't know I needed to. (I've never needed to for any ther service company that's came in my house) So she put me back on the schedule for the following week and was going let me know if i had to buy them. And she put in there to not send the same guy. An hour later I get a call from a guy wanting to reschedule and he said "we need to reschedule bc our installer wouldn't wear shoe covers?" I told him he told me they didn't have them. He said "really?" Then 2 days before they are supposed to come again the boss called me. Said they couldnt come until the following week and it would be the same guy (bc he's the only one that comes to my area unless he "begs and pleads" someone else) and he wasnt wearing shoe covers bc they were a safety hazard. He said the installer offered to wear shoe covers and he's known this guy for years and he wouldn't lie to him. If that were the case the carpet would have been installed. First he says they're a safety hazard but then says his installer said he said he would have worn them, but they're not now? They also put in their notes to ********** that they offered to go to ********** and buy them. Had they offered, I would have said yes. So I picked the carpet up at one of their warehouses. The guy loaded the carpet but not the pad. When I asked about it he said they usually don't give it unless they install the carpet. I told him I paid for the pad.After checking my paperwork he gave it to me but acted like he did it as a favor to me.

  I purchased laminate flooring through *********** I had ******* from AIS install the flooring, and it looks amazing! His attention to detail and precision are top notch! He was here on time every day and was very friendly and accommodating. Next time I get flooring, Im going through AIS directly and cutting out *********** I highly recommend AIS and ******* especially.

  Horrible job. Bad install. Problem from day 1. Carpet is horrible. Work was horrible. ********** ****. They will not fix the problem. Its been a 3 year nightmare and $9k later still not happy. I professionally clean my carpets ***** months. Carpet bubbles, needs to be stretched for the 3rd time. The stairs are horrible. Staples are coming out. Bubble in areas where it shouldnt. Sent multiple emails and images to ********** and AIS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

  DON'T have your carpet installed through *********** They subcontract to AIS. NOT PROFESSIONALS! Awful experience and STILL NOT FIXED! Waited a month to have carpet installed. ONE guy came out to do a big job!! After inspecting: bowed & pieced together trim in the entry way and BUTTED UP TO and SEPERATED to vinyl, his response. I didn't have enough trim and, YOU CAN CAULK THAT gap. ?? THEN noticed later after he left & removing a big piece of new remnant carpet he had conveniently left on the floor, he had CUT through the carpeting half way across the room and left it! Now we have one seam and one cut strip!! Tack strip inches from wall, cut carpet, corners where there's no carpet at all, metal edging that was pieced together, NO POWER stretching ( He just kicked it in even in a BIG AREA) , bowed metal edging w carpet unattached to floor..the list goes on and on. They will now be here in NOV. to " inspect" it. I'm demanding new carpet, better install or a refund. Or..litigation!! AIS is unprofessional and sends out workers who do not know what they are doing!! ********** lets YOU DEAL WITH IT even tho THEY SUBCONTRACTED the work I paid good money for. Beware!!
