    We hired this company first about 5 years ago and they did a fine job on a few small projects. They fixed dry wall and painted without any problems. They installed wood flooring with some minor issues which we chalked up to inexperience. I.e. some spacing of wood planks was off in a few areas.We liked the communicatoon and thought they were experienced enough so we hired them to do a larger project and we had major issues with a flooring install. Bay Area Contracting did not properly level the floor for the type of luxury vinyl installed. The issue was ongoing almost immediately as the floor was installed and long before any workmanship warranty expired. They agreed they should address it but never did beginning Oct of 2019. Oct 16 2019 we complained in writing and they said they could fix it by pouring leveling compound but never did.In Nov of 2019, we told them about crackling in the floor that was getting worse and we asked for the coverage if it actually does crack or break. Eventually, it began to crack and break in several areas.In Dec of 2021, we reached again and they agreed we should get this resolved. That is when we started the long process of having it inspected. The inspector which was provided by Bay Area Contracting agreed the was not properly installed. More recently this company said they wanted to do the right thing and make an agreement that's fair but ended up doing nothing because the flooring needed to be removed, the floor leveled, and new flooring installed.The floor was not installed properly and we addressed issues from the beginning but unfortunately they didn't stand by their promise as seen on their website. They are not "committed to our satisfaction". They might not "use the proper materials to complete a job with quality" and they might "cut corners" by not leveling your floor.
