My first email to the plumbing company after getting my bill:Before payment, I'd like you to get a hold of the 1st plumber that came over. My wife said ***** (2nd plumber) said his name was also *****. So I'll call them ***** 1 and 2 ***** 1 told me the problem was the inducer and MAYBE the control panel, but he didn't think it was that. He said he would order the panel and could return it without any problem, but you'd have it, just in case.***** 2 came over for the repairs. I was doing a project and went down in the basement a few times to get stuff. At one point ***** had replaced the the control panel and the error code went from E28 to E04., but the problem still wasn't fixed. He needed to call tech support....yours/Triangle Tube? Don't know. I had to leave for a dental appt. and when i came back all was good. My wife says ***** came back upstairs and said he had to replace the inducer. So my question is this.....***** 1 thought it was 1) the inducer and maybe 2) the control panel, but ***** 2 seemed to 1st replace the control panel THEN the inducer. I'd like to know why.plumbing company reply:*************** in regards to your e-mail. I had talked with ***** 1 before we came over to do the work and he stated we needed to start with the control board but may need a blower also. I am the one that ordered the parts for ***** 1 for this job. If you have any other questions please call me at ************.whole of the situation:Heat went out on a Thurs. Called the company and due to lack of plumbers was told it would be Fri. b4 anyone would come. Then got a call saying they would be there Thurs. Making a complaint because of being lied to. ***** 1 doubted parts would be in Fri. but Mon. When I called on Monday a woman said his notes said *** OR Tues. NOT what he said. Plus he said it was the inducer THEN MAYBE the control board. Board ordered JUST IN CASE. Repair done in reverse. Control board didn't fix the problem initially, not until inducer replaced.

I received an invoice of $324 for about 1/2 hour of a mechanics time. Furnace would not fire up. ******** said that the air filter needed to be changed which he did but he use my filter. No other repairs or parts were included in this check up. I have not paid this bill yet. I think the charge is absolutely ridiculous. There was no travel time involved for the mechanic. It appears that they are billing me for 1.5 hours at $216 per hour. The mechanic was here no longer than 1/2 hour.Maybe they think because Im old Im stupid and would just go ahead and pay this ridiculous bill.
