We were impacted by the Eaton fires in LA and have been dealing with Proctor Loan Protector to get the money provided by our insurer to restore our house. This company has been ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE and have been standing in the way of any progress in our ability to get back into our house after 5+ months. Each time I call, I get a different answer. Each step in their process takes 8-10 business days to complete (or longer). And their process for issuing checks to pay contractors involves multiple, non-value-added (inane) steps - each of which takes 8-10 business days. So, instead of having a process in place to enable payment to contractors for work performed on the restoration, they actually withhold payments causing significant delays in the work as contractors will not continue the work until the portion they have already completed has been paid. I am more than livid that my mortgage company uses Proctor Loan Protector to service the claim / loss drafts associated with the fire damage to my house. They are a significant reason why my wife and I are not able to get back into our house even tho' it has been 5+ months since the fire. Any mortgage company considering using them, please re-consider. I have several family members & friends who also had fire damage, but are back in their homes as they dealt with mortgage loss departments that have processes to actually help people get back into their homes in a timely manner. Proctor Loan Protector does just the opposite and their processes significantly slow progress rather than supporting home owners trying to get restoration work done. One of the absolute worst companies I've ever had the displeasure to work with in my life (and I am nearly 60 years old).

This  business is absolutely horrible. I called them requesting a copy of a report. To get a person on the line took me about 20 minutes of hold time. The lady who answered was upset with me that i didnt know which department this obscure report would be from, she transferred me to the claims department which took me 50 minutes on hold just for them to transfer me to the correct department who ended up hanging up on me. overall i spend about 1 hour 45 minutes of my day trying to get this report to speak to no one.

I have been dealing working with ***** and ******** with no resolution on an issue that has lasted over 2 months. My wife and I have had to call numerous times for follow up regarding our claims payment only to be given different answers each time. This company is beyond frustrating to work with.

Proctor Financial is the least professional and responsible business I have ever had to deal with. The business model they use fails the customer every step of the way. Their employees lack the knowledge and skills necessary to provide the service they claim to provide. Employees were often rude and completely disrespectful. They seems to only be able to read from a script and not provide customer service with any individual thoughts or desire to actually help the customer. Proctor Financial makes it extremely difficult to get customer's own insurance money back from them. To charge a customer for an "inspection" when it is just a low or no skilled individual who takes a few pictures of the work completed at your home is absolutely ridiculous. Newrez mortgage company needs to find another company to contract with ASAP!

If I could give a 0 rating for this company I would. This company is fraudulent! I filed a claim for my fathers roof of his house 4/2024. The claim was approved for ***airs to the roof and gazebo, however, this company is able to come up with their own deductibles and do not disclose how they came up with them. They made my fathers deductible $11000+ of a $12000 ***air approval and sent a check for $105 to ***air the roof. What is $105 supposed to ***air?! It will not even cover material for the roof ***air. And everytime I call the claims ***** they state theres no one I can speak to directly in regards to this claim and how they came up with that amount for the deductible. So my roof is still damaged and un***aired! I also attempted to file a water damage claim 4/2023 for busted pipes and was told that if it was not any damage to the actual house that I could not file the claim and then while investigating my roof claim I find out from the insurance **** *** that $9000 was paid for that claim, however it did not come to me or my father because I paid out of my pocket to have the pipes fixed. Someone there is stealing money! And I want answers as to where the money for my roof and pipes went to!

In writing for freedom mortgage the process is explained as 7-10 days processing after they get the documents they need & check from the insurance claim written to the ******************* mortgage, however they do not mention the check goes into escrow & takes 8-10 business days for them to go around & make another check to send out just a portion of the disbursement, then that the inspection for the remained of the funds takes almost a week to schedule out, they show up & it takes another 7 days for the report to be filed & another 8-10 days for the rest of the check they are holding in escrow to be sent out. That's not even counting the mail time, no you have to wait on that or pay for expedited costs h send the envelopes in too. Also let's not mention each rep will tell you a different time frame for each step, the next process, the process you're in or in general explain the whole thing differently. None of it lines up to the expectations set in writing with the claim loss packet. No wonder business don't want to help people with insurance or mortgage. It's all to get $$ not to pay the payee or contractors back. Drawn out process before they want their funds now but don't want to disburse theirs they legally owe someone.

Freedom Mortgage received a check from my insurance company, after my home was a total loss due to fire. They turned the matter over to Proctor. I have sent the same documents THREE separate times now. They deny receipt of any- even tho I have emails, receipts for overnight delivery and verification of fax being delivered. Lies, more lies- no refund of money over and above my Mortgage amount. In fact, Freedom Mortgage reported me late to the credit bureaus after having an insurance check in their possession for two months!!!

Freedom Mortgage purchased our mortgage in November of 2022. On March 3rd, of 2023 we suffered a wind claim. At that time we determined that Freedom Mortgage failed to pay our insurance premiums out of our escrow account and therefore we were cancelled. Immediately we were provided lender placed insurance with Proctor Financial/Freedom Mortgage. They are attempting to force a nearly $5000 deductible on a $16,000 claim. No accountability, no responsibility, and no compassion.

They are horrible, incompetent and unprofessional and very rude. Their reps are good to only work in a "fish market". This company should go out of business. They don't have the common decent courtesy to apologize for their mistakes and back check their mistakes before they retaliating and punitive against their customers. Causing dislike and anger delays. To me they hire people base on identity politics not on their merit. Everything starts from the top . setting good professional values and moral and proper training. This is something they lack big in this company by reading reviews from their employees one can see for themselves. They took my insurance 2 claim checks for 2 different loans, and for some reason mix it up on one loan and over looked the other loan and could not find the other check or thought the 2 checks are for one loan only. Meanwhile I documented the 2 claims separately. And put them in a proper order But, Because they made a big error they decided to be punitive and spiteful when I became assertive with them and they keep demanding more documents. Bias ! What happened to customer is always right regardless what we think! They can not get a supervisor on demand. And apparently they don't have A system to excellerate the calls. These people don't know their chain of command.? Who over looks their department. I hope the government agencies that are connected with this company need to review their day to day business and straighten out their problems.Proctor loan protector it is a disgrace.!

Proctor Loan Protector has been holding our insurance claim check that was promptly issued by our flood insurance company. They have delayed disbursing any funds for repairs. Requests ( letters, emails and phone calls) for specific steps that we as homeowners must follow either go unanswered or result in vague unintelligible responses. They have not verified that our money has been deposited in a separate escrow account or if they have invested our money for their benefit.
