I hired Oasis Custom Pool and Spas to build a pool in March of 2021. A deposit of nearly $6,580 written on March 8, 2021, was paid to him as he said we needed to purchase the steel right then as prices were rising the next month. So we did, even though I questioned his motives. We tried to get a detailed pool build schedule for the entire spring and summer, and only got long rantings and ravings about how covid essentially ruined his business, it was too wet, he couldn't get any workers, and the list went on and on. I have these emails and text transcriptions. Ultimately when he still had yet to dig or do any work by late fall/early winter of 2021, I asked him for a refund which he refused. He then strung us along for the next calendar year saying that if he could sell our pool to another buyer, he would get the deposit back on downpayment for the steel purchase. The last time I tried communicating with him was Sept 28, 2022, when he said he would call and explain how the process worked. Nothing has ever materialized and we would like to take this route to collect our money back before we try to explore a settlement in court. Thank you.

On 8/21/20 I gave *************************,(#************) owner of Oasis pools, a $6,970.00 deposit for a swimming pool,, which was the required 10% down on a $69,700.00 pool. A few days later I decided on a less expensive pool which was $50,000.00, so the required deposit down was $5,000. I told ***************** to keep the additional $1,970.00 for my next installment. Covid changed everything, including by financial situation, and so ****************** advised me he was refunding deposits to people who requested such. I requested my deposit back, he stated once he sold my pool I would get my deposit returned. However, he did state in a text to me he had sold my steps and would be sending me a check for those, which I have never received. I feel he should also return $1970 with no questions asked since it was my original deposit on a more expensive pool. I have numerous texts from him stating he would return my money, however he has not been answering phone calls or any of my texts and I have not received any refund from him at all. His website has numerous complaints of other people being treated the same way, I appreciate any help I can get, thank you

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:

As of 9/25/2022 I have not received any money from Oasis Pools, nor has anyone been in contact with me, they are actually avoiding phone calls and texts. He has a bogus address on his contract making contacting him nearly impossible. I am requesting your assistance in this matter.

      Regards,
