    Rich Aldrich came to my home, assessed my deck and provided my husband and I with a quote to replace our back deck and stairs, totaling $9,700.00 . The quote was dated 7/18/23. On 7/24/23 I met **** at the supply warehouse to pick out deck coloring and also give him a check for the deposit of $7,200.00 that was required. Rich cashed the check for the deposit on 7/26/23. Originally we were told he would be able to start the project mid August. This time came and we had not heard from Rich on a definitive start date for the project. My husband and I spoke to him on the phone and he said he would start the project on 8/28/23. We communicated we would be out of town but it was ok to proceed and we would pay the remaining balance when we returned to town. On 8/30/23 I contacted **** as he had not begun the project. He informed me that the color we chose for the decking was on backorder and we could wait or pick out a new color. I asked if another color was available and did not receive and reply. When I got back to town I reached out to Rich several time via text and phone call asking to speak to him about options. He said he would call me and never did. I continued to reach him via text and phone calls, again no reply. Finally on 9/20/23 I informed **** that we wanted a refund. He replied he was out of town and would get a hold of me when he returned. I did not hear from him and continued to text and call with no response. On 10/19/23 **** contacted me informing me he received a refund from the supply house and would cut a check on Monday. To date we have not received a refund and have not gotten a reply from him on when to expect our refund. My husband and I would like a full refund in the amount of $7,200.00 from Rich Aldrich as he has not held his end of the agreement which was to replace our deck and stairs. I have provided text communications, can supply phone record and text communications from my husband if more information is needed.
