My husband ************************* took our cat for emergency services for a urinary problem due to blood in his urine and straining to urinate. ***** waited for about 2 hours to be seen emergently. Then the veterinarian ************************** (who is also the owner of the business), examined our cat, refused to do any tests, recommended antibiotics, and then left the room without taking a proper history. ***** expressed concern to the vet tech still in the room about the cat's symptoms and had questions about the cat's care. The vet tech left the room to talk to ************* in a separate room where ***** was not present. The vet tech returned to the room and informed ***** that ************* was not going to treat our cat anymore. ***** begged with the staff to treat his cat because he was very sick. ***** was very confused about why this was happening as there seemed to be some sort of miscommunication. However ************* refused to come back in the room to talk to *****. However the vet staff told him he needed to pay $130 for the examination and threatened if he did not pay that day he was going to be taken to collections. ***** paid the $130 and left but our cat was still sick. When ***** left the building he was talking to another person in the parking lot but then a vet tech came outside and told *************** needed to leave immediately or they were going to call the police. ***** never yelled or did anything to intentionally cause harm or issues so we aren't sure why he was treated so badly. And to leave a sick cat untreated is unethical. ***** took the cat to another veterinarian business who admitted the cat for fluids and medications.
