    Ive purchased carpet and hired flooring America to install carpet on many jobs flawlessly. This last job they did had some extra measurements added during the project. We also decided to do plank instead in an entry room. The revision communicated to the contractor was not communicated to the salesman. The carpet charge only showed complete sq ft, and I was not aware it included the entry room. A few months after the install my JV investor questioned the carpet price and amount noting it was a lot for that size home. I asked for the layout print from the salesman to reassure him and after receiving it I inquired if I was charged for the entry room. The salesaman assured me I was charged for it. It was never carpeted as it had been planked though. The sub contractors said they didnt have any carpet left and the contractor admitted he was not on site during install Short and sweet, I paid for the carpet and the install in this room and yet received neither. I contacted the owner of the company because my salesman said he couldnt refund me. The owner proceeded to say I was calling him a liar and he trusted his contractors and what should I do? Take money from my contractor or from kids college fund. He even accused me of transitioning my business to a relative in a competitive local store, which I have never bought carpet from. Also he even mentioned I may have ripped the carpet out and then planked it; insinuating that I stole the carpet. I work with contractors daily and trust is a very big deal to me. Unfortunately the backbone behind this business trusts the sub contractors behind his contractors more than his customers and I have even been a repeat customer. Very unprofessional to make your customer eat the cost here. *** found other carpet suppliers who back their work up.
