August 2024, we paid **** $13,980.00 to do drywall finishing & 1 coat of high build white paint on the drywall per quote for our new home. October 2024, we paid him $5,500.00 for painting finish. We were told by a referral of his to pay him @ completion of painting October 2024 as he was good & would come back for any necessary fixes after we moved in. We have Several areas not taped/mudded at all with many s**** holes & open gaps around can lighting & ceiling registers. Almost all of our ceiling-wall creases upstairs are cracking, upstairs bathroom corners done poorly & look terrible. Half wall-wall corners through out whole house were/are cracking. Several areas upstairs not paint primed or 2 coats of paint, can see lines on the walls. I was hesitant to call regarding all the poor work/repairs needed as he left quite a mess for us to clean up prior to flooring installation. We tried fixing some repairs ourselves, but it was far more work & repairs needed than we could do ourselves. I called **** on 3/20/2025 to discuss these issues; his response was he was busy & wouldn't be able to come back for another month. He asked what our issues were & I explained the cracking in both the ceiling to wall and wall to wall creases in which he told me we had sheet rocked incorrectly and should not have insulated the upstairs ceiling. He basically claimed all the issues were a result of what we had done incorrectly & did not take any ownership for his work. I am very disappointed in how terrible the walls in our new home look & am at a loss as to how they can be fixed without professional help. **** has not returned to make any fixes right or stand by his work. I have yet to hear back from ****. I have documents of the initial work bidded with hand written notes, but cannot make them small enough to upload below. I will also gladly provide any further information required on this matter. Thank you kindly for your help.

    Business Response

I did do work for ****** and **** in August 2024. ****** was general contractor on her new build and the drywall was hung by them. I did have a conversation with *****, and I told him that drywall needed to be insulated. He said that he would not be doing that until all the painting was done because he wasnt going to do it twice. I told him at that time that taping in the summer with uninsulated makes the mud brittle because it is drying at too hot of a temperature. He told me that it would it would be OK.  So I continued to tape their house and painted it.  The hanging job was far from professional with gaps of over an inch and a quarter along ceilings.  I do not warranty drywall tape from movement.  I do typically work with general contractors that I work with to remedy if there are issues with the general contractor paying for any repairs that need to be done.  I did tell her to let me know when the electrical and trim was done and I could fix anything that didnt cover. I went back at the end of October and fix some drywall  And I dont know why all these issues went brought up to me before they did move in. I did originally say I would stop and take a look when I talk to her in April but then I did call her back and wanted to talk through what was going on and did tell her that I didnt know when I would be able to do take a look.  I believe that is the biggest issue here.  I cannot stop movement with paper tape. Im sure that it does look bad.  They may need to look in to putting crown molding in if they continue having movement issues.  I do not plan on going back after being told to F off by *****.

I am rejecting this response because:
The response given by **** does not resolve our issue of poor workmanship. I have attached a document with my response as this space will not allow all the text. I have also attached four pictures and have more share of the poor work done at our house.
