    We purchased a remanent piece of granite for a bathroom vanity top on 9/27/23. We specifically asked the salesperson if all scratches are polished out. The salesperson confirmed that they would be. On the week of November 4, 2023, the product with the sink cut out, hole for faucet, and edges finished was installed. The top of the granite still had many scratches and chips and was not polished as we were promised. The company could obviously polish granite as the edges of the piece (both the outside edges and hole for the sink) we were having installed were polished. We were informed by the installer that remnants are purchased as is. We were not informed of this prior to our purchase either verbally or in print on the bid that they gave us or by any sign in their store. This would have changed our decision to purchase this product from this company. Obviously, the company can polish out cuts, chips and scratches based on what they were able to fabricate for us in the above-mentioned piece. The installer said that they would have someone contact us. No one did. We had to reach out to the installer again on November 7, 2023. Eventually, the salesperson reached out to us on November 9, 2023 and said she misunderstood about polishing and thought we meant cleaning it. This is ludicrous since the remnant was sitting outside and they obviously do polishing of cut edges and holes. We paid a down payment of $487.61 prior to install. We have been texting with the owner since November 13, 2023. He has promised to come out and view the product on multiple occasions but, has failed to follow through or respond to us in a timely manner. We would like them to come out and repair the chips and scratches as we were told would happen before installation. We would also like a discount for our trouble and ongoing delay in response to this matter.
