Absolutely horrific experience. Please note we are at retirement age and looking for a new vehicle, so we've been there done that before. TO be proactive we stopped at Apple Valley dealership and narrowed our choice down to one. We then advised sales person of choice, provided all documentation, license, online application etc. Advised specifically when we were coming and how much time we had.
We were ran thru the ringer. First 9.2 percent interest, then 8.2, then 6.99. We can make changes, we cant make changes, and they were so unhappy that we did not want an additional warranty at 2500. Why would I pay 2500 for an additional warranty when I am buying a brand new vehicle? hmmmmm.......We declined and it was just one of a multiple of red flags going up.
Despite doing everything in advance being there for 5 hours, with a credit of over 800, still coujldn't get it down. Finally left! They say NO HAGGLING< no commission, but, they are not honest with you!

I took my vehicle in for an oil change in February. They changed the oil and showed me that I needed to replace my engine air filter, and cabin filter which I gave them the OK to do. Last week I thought I must be getting close to needing an oil change so I decided to look at the reminder sticker on the windshield yep its time, I need an oil change. I also noticed that the box next to "battery" was checked "needs immediate attention". When I was there in February no one ever mentioned anything about having a battery issue, only the air filters needed replacing nothing was ever said about the battery. I popped the hood on the vehicle to check out the battery and it was severely corroded. I opened top of the battery to check the electrolyte level and all six cells were very low. I cleaned the battery and added distilled water to the battery and then brought it to Apple Valley Ford to get this oil changed and to discuss this issue. This is when I discovered an even bigger problem! The paperwork from the February service appt. did not match the reminder sticker on the windshield. The first page of the document stated that they tested the battery and it was in good condition. The sticker said it needs immediate attention, and on page three it showed a charge of a $160.00 for a new battery and another $44.00 charge for their labor to install it. THIS WAS NEVER DONE OR EVER APPROVED BY ME!
I asked to see a service manager, he told me he would look at my battery. He immediately knew when he looked at the battery that this was not a new battery and it was several years old. He told me someone must have forgotten to put it in, and they would get it replaced today at "no charge". Huh!!!! I already unwillingly and unknowingly paid for it four months ago!!! The reality is Apple Valley Ford attempted to defraud me by adding over two hundred dollars on my repair bill and thought they would get away with it! They could not forget to install something they never had approval to do!
