My son bought me a Buick Enclave on July 30th from this Auto dealer. He paid cash for it. I was told it was an As Is car. I did ask if their mechanic went over everything before selling it. The dealer said it was gone over very thourough and the only thing was the back struts may need to be replaced at some time in the future. The auto ran pretty good until this past week end when it started making noise. We found out that it did not have any oil in it, it was dry. When I bought it, it was full! then a engine light came on, and I took it to my regular mechanic and he tested it and said it's misfiring on cylinder 6, and can fix it for me. I set up an appt when they could get me in. The next day or two, another light came on. Said I need to fix a traction part. I was beside myself and called ***** to see if they would look at it and maybe because it was only less than a month off the lot, might show some integrety and fix it. They said, no, you bought it as is and we cannot cover anything after it leaves the lot. The person I had with me, said, can we see a print out of what was fixed on the car before putting it out for sale. they printed one out, and many things were declined to be fixed. No reasons why they did not. They said, we can do a diagnostic, but it will cost you a little over a ******. If they found any thing wrong it will be my bill to pay. I talked to the manager and he stuck by the As Is and would not even budge on bit on helping me. I don't know if there is a lemon law in Mn, but I sure think ***** sells ****** and say they fixed all they should have, when they did not. They tell buyer lies to sell it and then use the AS IS to get out of fixing the problems. To me it's wrong, simply wrong to not have a limited Warranty after selling a used car. It shows integrety and honesty and caring for the buyer. A lot of auto dealers do have that 30 to 60 day warranty or **** miles. **** Auto dealers should not be allowed to sell w/o one.

We spoke to *****************************, and her son ****** several times last week regarding her concern. We made a mutual agreement that we would inspect her vehicle at our Mills GM in ****** dealership, free of charge to her, on Thursday 22 September 2022. We were unable to verify or replicate the Guest's concerns, and the vehicle did not produce any codes for us to diagnose. This is common as her mechanic would have cleared all the vehicle codes when he inspected and worked on her vehicle. We performed a complete oil and filter change on 22 September 2022, and our next step in diagnosing her vehicle concern is to perform an oil consumption test. ******* was instructed to drive her vehicle as normal, and to not add any more oil to the engine. ******* is to bring her vehicle back to the Mills GM dealership after she drives 300 to 500 miles. We will then inspect her vehicle again to determine any further diagnosis and possible next steps. The vehicle (2011 Buick Enclave) was purchased from our Mills GM dealership AS-IS by ******* on 30 July 2022. The odometer reading at time of purchase was *******. ******* was presented with the vehicles Pre-Auction vehicle inspection form, which showed the results of our Technicians inspection of this vehicle. This also included the items that the Technician identified as possibly requiring repair. This form reflected what we did repair, and what we did not repair. This was a complete record of what we knew about this vehicle at that time. ******* agreed to the terms stated on this form and signed this form. As of 22 September 2022, *******'s vehicle odometer reading was ******* (***** miles since purchase date of 30 July 2022). We will continue to update the BBB via this platform as we know more.

Hello, thank you for sending me their response. There is a lot of discrepancies in her letter of truth.I was not told the car was a pre auction car, I was told the car was gone through for inspection and it was in "good condtion" and the only thing was the back shocks would need replacing at one point. I drove the car for less than one month when the oil went dry, engine lights came on. I took it to Mills, they said it would cost me over a hundred dollars to do a diagnositc. I have my own mechanic, so took it to him. It cost me ***** He gave me a statement of what was wrong with my car and the cost to fix it. I made a copy to give to the mechanic. After having a phone conference with the executive assistant to the owner, they decided they would do a diagnostic test too free of charge. When I spoke with thier mechanic **** after, he said he did not agree with my ********'s diagnosis. My mechanic has no reason to lie to me, he has taken care of my cars for years and has always been honest with me about the condition of my car to keep me safe. My mechanic is in ********** **. ****************. Phone # ************ His name is *****, and the other mechanic is *****. If you would like to talk with them, they would be glad to tell you, I was sold a lemon. I stood and cried in the office the day he told me he was so sorry I was sold a car where the engine was ready to blow. I talked to another car dealer in the area, he said that Mills knew the conditon of the car. There were four owners not three as they said. I looked up car fax with my vin # and one owner was in ND and the other 3 were in *********. There is also a title for each time the car was sold and a history of the car's condition. I do not have that information, but was told any car dealer would have. I found out after my daughter looked at the paper work, that it was indeed a pre auction car. I asked **** the mechanic at Mills about the fact that the car was pre auction, he said yes, it is and that is why we don't fix a lot on those cars. I was not told this at the time I was interested in buying it. I have never bought a car from a dealer before, and trusted Mills of all would not lie to me or sell me an unsafe vehical my son paid for. I am 74yrs old and it probly would be my last car. My son put up ***** cash and my x husband put up ***** to give me a good car. When I found out the engine of all things was ready to go, I was so devastated. The cost was ***** to fix it! I live on a fixed income. I expected a car sold "as is" *** have some little things to fix.. brakes, fuel pump.. tires, etc.. not an engine! I've had Buicks all my life and the Engine's are really good. My last car was a **** Buick I bought from the owner, I did not have any problems for 4yrs and then this last fall, a fuel pump and this spring front brake shoes. I expect that. The last phone conference I had, was told I had two choices, to do the oil check test, or.. they don't have to talk to me at all as I bought the car as is! Nasty attitued. I too have choices in what I will do to resolve this. I asked them if I could do a trade, they said We don't have anything to trade?? I asked them for my money back. No deal there. If my engine blows and I don't have the money to put a new one in, I'm stuck without a car period. I would like to ask what you would do if this happened to your mom? I feel I was misrepresented totally. Thank you for your action on my part.*****************************

I took my Buick in to service for a non-functioning A/C and to look at my power steering because it was leaking. While the customer service was great, the prices are outrageous! The price of the parts only (not including labor) were 300-400% upcharged compared to what I could purchase them for online (confirmed AC Declo parts with part numbers confirmed). I decided not to go through with the repair and was still charged almost $1,000 for basically nothing. Just outrageous prices!

Simultaneous to our Guest ********************* posting this review on the BBB site, she also posted the same review on **** on 03 AUG 2022. (We were not alerted to this new BBB review posted on our dealership page until 09 AUG 2022.) Our General Manager (***************************) of our Mills GM dealership was alerted to the **** review right away. ********************** researched the stated concern with the dealership Service Manager and Service Advisor at Mills GM who had assisted **************** with her vehicle diagnosis and repair quote. ********************** then called our Guest, and ultimately connected on the phone with **************** and her husband **** on 04 AUG 2022. In their discussion, they determined that the vehicle parts they purchased at NAPA were not in fact AC Delco parts. The parts were not OEM ************** parts. The ******* stated that NAPA had offered them a 2 year parts warranty to buy the off brand. We were able to come to a mutual agreement with the ******* to install the aftermarket parts they purchased at NAPA on their vehicle for them. We are waiting for **** to be available to schedule their service visit and repair. The ******* stated they are happy and satisfied with the outcome. This Guest review/concern has been resolved. Thank you!
