The employees at Chevrolet Bloomington continually antagonized me and spread false claims that I wasn’t approved for a loan, despite clear approval through GMC Financial. Their incompetence and refusal to take accountability made the process of retrieving my deposit unnecessarily difficult. I eventually went to Chevrolet WBL, where I secured the exact car I wanted under the same loan terms, receiving respectful and professional service – a stark contrast to Bloomington’s handling of my purchase. The behavior at Chevrolet Bloomington fits the stereotype of shady car sales tactics, and even after I walked away, they persisted in lying about the situation. Ultimately, their dishonesty doesn’t matter – I’m now happily driving my new TRAX, the very vehicle they claimed I couldn’t get approved for.
Initially, I was excited to purchase a specific car, having completed all paperwork. However, the financial representative’s unprofessionalism crossed the line when they made inappropriate remarks about my income and falsely accused me of forgery. Despite providing official pay stubs as requested, the rep scrutinized them, implying fraud. I later discovered that pay stubs weren’t even required. The entire experience was marked by arrogance and condescension, and when I decided to cancel the deal due to discomfort, the representative appeared clueless about their inappropriate behavior.
Retrieving my down payment turned into another frustrating ordeal. The finance director delayed the refund until a family member, waiting outside, stepped in to demand the return. This experience left me shaken and disillusioned, having never encountered such disrespect and lack of professionalism in prior car purchases. I will never return to this dealership and strongly advise others to avoid them.

You were here a year ago. We are only responding to your false claims. In January of 2024, you tried to buy a Trax here, and the bank requested proof of income. You produced ONE pay stub several weeks prior, and the amount did not match what you claimed. You got upset when we asked for the required 3 MOST CURRENT paystubs. We never implied any fraud; we only relayed what the bank required. We gave you your deposit back, and you left. You posted a negative review back then, and we are not sure why you are posting now. We are glad you eventually got a vehicle. Your circumstances must have improved, and we are happy for you. Why you need to start trashing us at this point is beyond our comprehension.

Horrible place. Owned a brand new 2024 for 1 week and noticed an issue and brought it to the dealer. I was told I did it and they won’t claim my warranty, even though I purchased the lifetime warranty. Kevin in sales and the manager CJ are worthless. Don’t waste your time here the company is a rip off.

****, we performed a standard full walkaround prior to you taking delivery of your truck. When you returned a little over two weeks later with both running board rear caps held back in place with duct tape, we inspected and found there was obvious damage not related to a defect in the vehicle or accessory in any way. The only possible cause for this damage was contact with another object such as a curb, rock, or other hard surface accidental damage such as this is not covered by any warranty. Your reaction to this discovery was to raise your voice, direct obscene language at our staff, and make a scene in front of customers. We do not tolerate abuse and mistreatment of our hardworking staff, and as such, you are not welcome back in our dealership.

Extended Warranty refused. On Thursday January 12th she told me the Extended Lifetime Warranty people denied the claim. Stating that the PCV system had frozen up causing excessive pressure to build up in the crankcase and blow out the rear main engine seal, loosing all the oil. Since the PCV was not covered under the warranty which caused the rear main seal which was covered under warranty to blow they would not warranty the engine. My only options were to spend $10,000.00 on a New engine or possibly $7,000.00 to $8,000.00 on a used engine. After studying Kelly Blue Book and Edmund's And a couple of other sources. I found my car would have been worth, $11,000.00 for trade-in value. Or $13,000.00 out right. In fact CarMax offered me $13,000.00 because of the mileage only being 70,000 mile. Now all of that is with a good engine of course. Their sales department would only give me $100.00 for the car the way it was. I went car shopping in many different places. I found a car at a different Dealership and bought it with no trade-in on Friday January 13th. I lost my trade-in value of my GMC Terrain of $11,000.00 because Lupient and their Lifetime Warranty people did not honor the warranty. On January 16th, I sold the GMC Terrain to a fellow who has his own repair shop and he will put a new engine block in it for around $5,000.00 and use the car for a loaner car for his business. The car was hauled away out of Lupients property. Today January 17th, a service manager by the name of Jeremy called and said that someone had overridden the decision by the Warranty Company not to fix the car and they were told now, to fix the car. After I have sold the car and bought another car without any trade-in. That has to be the mast back handed way of doing business I have ever seen.

Your claim was rejected because failure was caused by a non covered part. When you complained we listened and we were actually trying to work with the extended service plan to gain an approval. In the course of a weekend in the meantime you bought another car and sold the vehicle in question. You complained on Friday and Sunday. The very next Monday we were trying to reach you to work it out. You didn't answer and had already taken the above listed actions. WE are dealing with a 3rd party insurance company so this process is not immediate. We are sorry you did not wait for an answer to your compliant prior to taking action.

When they denied the claim on Thursday Jan. 12th. They told me My only choice was to put a new engine in it for $10,000.00 or a used engine for $7,000.00. I declined. They did not say anything about continuing to try to get warranty approved. In fact they had a sales Rep. call me with a price of what they would give for the car the way it was. He offered $100.00. Also I did not complain last Friday and Sunday. On Friday afternoon January 13th. I called ***** and told her I would come over Saturday and clean out my personal stuff from the car, because I was selling it as a repairable car. I had no contact Sunday. I came into thier shop midmorning on January 16th. I settled up for the diagnostic work a day got my keys. The person I sold it to was waiting outside and loaded the car up. My first call from Lupient was at 10:35am. I was not at home so only got a message from ****** when I got home around 1:00 pm. I tried calling back Monday afternoon. We kept trying to reach each other until we connected on Tuesday afternoon. That was when he said someone had told them to fix the car. It sure looks strange that they would start calling me as soon as it was towed out of their lot.

******'s first call to me was at 10:35 AM. Monday morning Jan. 16. as the car was being hauled away. I did not get the message until 1:00 PM when I got home. I tried calling back 2 or 3 times that afternoon and left messages, but he did not call me back that day. I did not like the first answer about the warranty, but I accepted it. What really makes this look bad is that ****** was calling me, as the car was being hauled away to tell me you were going to fix it. It is at that point I would have had my car repaired and I would have had its full value for trade in or drivability condition back. If you want to make it right Pay me the cost of the new engine install that you, ****** offered to do had the car still been there. I see on the paperwork that was $9,000.00 Plus. Even though I was quoted $10,000.00.

When I was told on Thursday afternoon by ***** that they denied the Warranty. And my only choices were to buy a new engine for $10,000.00 or maybe a used engine for $7,000.00 if one could be found. With no mention that there might be a reconsideration on the Warranty and an offer of only $100.00 from your sales department. I did what any person would do find a different car and find a way to get the most out of the old one. If there was a chance of overturning that Warranty decision I should have been told. Why did your people wait until the *** was hauled off your lot and gone.
