The best decision I have ever made was to hire United Claims Service (UCS) to represent me and my interests in the complex and challenging negotiations with my insurance company following a major fire that destroyed my home. Their years of experience and knowledge of the workings and requirements of insurance companies were tested and ultimately secured the payment of my policy limit and additionally discovered and recovered a $45,000 payment due me that was lost in a complex accounting error.
For about 18 months my insurance company resisted recognizing that my condemned house was in fact, a total loss. Initially they offered to settle for half the insured value and suggested I build a smaller home and that downsizing would be good for me. UCS at our first meeting said it was a total loss and began working long and hard to prove it. During that year and a half, huge amounts of documentation and technical data were sent to the insurance company by UCS. UCS represented me at on-site meetings and inspections with a structural engineer, the local building official, multiple adjusters from the insurance company, lawyers for both sides and even an excavator to examine footings and foundations. Eventually we prevailed and the insurance company paid the policy limit.
I was able to rebuild and furnish my home, restore my yard, and receive reimbursement for the rent I paid during the 2 ½ years it took to settle the claim and construct a new home nearly identical to the home that burned.
The diligence and expertise of UCS as well as the professional way they conduct their business, was the reason I received the maximum compensation from the insurance company. Through the whole exceedingly long process I was treated with respect and
understanding and I will add, with a huge amount of compassion and kindness by all the UCS personnel I worked with.

Absolutely do not recommend using this company. They never came through with anything they were supposed to do. Wasted our time and hope for almost 2 years after my mother's house caught fire. They never even read her policy, never communicated anything and would always say they were working on everything, until one day they decided they couldn't help anymore. It took them almost 2 years to tell us that.

Our firm was hired on 8/6/23 regarding a fire that damaged an attached garage, roof structure and interior smoke and water damage. The fire occurred on 7/3/23. The building was insured, but the personal property was uninsured. An unfortunate situation. An insurance company adjuster had prepared an estimate. It appeared to be adequate. However, the basement was heavily water damaged thereafter due to flooding. The flood damage was not covered by the policy. We most certainly did read the policy to be certain. We were involved for one year, not two years. On 8/5/24, we received a message from Ms. ******* stating her mother did not believe the insurance payment would not be sufficient to do the repairs. We agreed because of the flood damage being uninsured. On 8/14/24, we were contacted by a contractor our client wanted to hire for the project, which we discussed with him and our client. I explained the coverage situation and understood the project was going to move forward. I returned the file documents and also obtained a replacement check, as the initial payment check had expired. This was a difficult situation due to insurance coverage limitations.
