    Budget Exteriors installed my windows in ****. Shortly thereafter the paint started peeling on some of the window wraps. Budget brought the manufacturer out-Alside who said that the wrap that was used was defective. They both decided that they would replace the wrap as it failed instead of replacing all of them at once. Every year or other year I have called Budget as each window wrap started peeling. In 2021, **** who was their scheduler stated that ****** agreed to replace them all. When that didn't happen **** said that Budget was going to replace all of them so that I didn't need to keep calling. Also, each person did the wrap a little differently. Then **** told me that Alside wasn't going to replace them but that Budget was just going to replace all of them. They had trouble finding help and kept promising that someone would be out in the fall of 2021. When that didn't happen **** finally had a reliable employee, *** who started coming out in May of 2022. He would come out when he had time left at the end of his shift. He was doing one maybe 2 windows at a time. He probably would have finished all of my windows if he hadn't been out for a medical leave. He told me that the original installation of the wraps was done incorrectly on top of the aluminum wrap being defective. I didn't see *** for about 4 weeks and called and was told that **** was no longer there. They said that they will not be honoring what **** agreed to and that it was my tough luck. The Production Manager that I talked to was very nasty. ********** believe had been with this company for a very long time and I would think that she knew what she was doing. They would do it if I wanted to pay $300 to $400 per window(the going rate is more like $150 per window). I have 6 windows left to be done, one of which has the paint peeling off. Now of course the wrap doesn't match. I understand that the aluminum wrap should last 50 years. They should have fixed this problem years ago.

    Our general manager went out to the residence on 11/17/22.  On further inspection only one of her remaining 6 windows has a defect.  The pealing PVC coating is not on the wrap.  It is on a piece of PVC coil that was used as a sill expander.  This piece connects into the accessory grove on the bottom of the window and extends to the sill.   We have agreed to rewrap the bottom sill that has the defect at no charge.  If further sill expanders fail, they will be rewrapped at no charge.  The homeowner is happy with our agreement.   The repair is set for 11/29/22.
