I have had Culligan for several years.
In October of 2024 I was charged the full price of someone who didn’t have a contract which was over $55.
It was automatically taken out of my checking account. The only way I found out about it was looking through items deducted from my account. I called to inquire why my bill was so high Culligan indicated that my 3 year contract had expired. Culligan chooses not to notify a customer when their contract expires. They just choose to bill the customer at full price.
I filled out the paperwork to continue my contract. Instead of crediting the $55 they went on to bill me the previous and current month.
First of all I have to say that it is a deceptive way to increase their earnings without notification to the customer. It is also a very poor business practice. A customer should be notified well in advance of the expiration of their contract and given the opportunity to renew at the current contract price. I have contacted them several times to request that the overcharge of $55 be credited to my checking account. I get no reply!!! If I have to pursue this in a court of law I will.
Based on the complaints I have read It looks as if deceptive business practice is the norm for this company.

I paid my bill online and was emailed that it failed 3 days later. I called to take care of it before the due date and was told they show the payment went thru. I received the next bill and it showed my payment was returned nsf and charged a $20 penalty fee 6 days after I received the notification &4 days after the due date . I must have enter the wrong account number or something but I have never had an nsf payment in my life over 40 of banking. I called to see if they would remove the $20 penalty fee after being an excellent paying customer for many years (I usually paid more than what was due) and was given Adam in billing to talk to. He was the rudest employee I have ever dealt with. Repeating that my payment was nsf and refusing to let me speak to his superior. This place of business has the worst customer service. Particularly Adam.

I cancelled my account in April. I am still being billed. My balance was $70.05. Now it is $200.
