    Elias masonry was hired last summer to pour a slab with a smooth finish for interior concrete floors. The slab was not only not smooth, it was not level across any area, including a significant center bulge that is not within code limits and countless dips throughout. The owner added fast set chemicals on a perfectly clear and warm day in order to rush the job, resulting in a far too fast cure for him to level or smooth the concrete to do a satisfactory job. He then denied any responsibility for his haste and did not return calls to request him to fix his work. For further proof of the unskilled service and that he ruined the concrete mix, the entire surface of the slab is now experiencing large areas scaling off of the surface due to the excessively fast set. It will cost a very significant amount of money for us to fix this work to get it even acceptable to put other flooring over as it needs to be ground down to within reasonably level and then refinished, and can no longer have just a finished concrete floor.
