5 starsFrom start to finish I was impressed by Cedar Valley Exteriors. They met with me on-site and gave honest and professional input upfront. They helped with the claim process and their expertise made me feel like I was on a level playing field with the insurance company. The project itself went smoothly and the office kept in touch throughout the process. The end result was a magnificent beautifully restored home that looked the best it ever had! Thank You CVE- HIGHLY RECOMMEND!Review fromDenise K

5 starsFiled my insurance claim back in June of 22, and the insurance company was playing Hard ball. The Cedar Valley Rep was awesome during the whole process, and then told me about the lawyers at ***** that they work with. Got in touch with them in August, and now 6 months later I found out that the lawyer has gotten the roof entirely paid for! Thank you Cedar Valley andCohen for an amazing job!Review fromDonna C

5 starsWe had wind damage on our roof. I contacted Cedar Valley Exteriors for an estimate. They professionally explained from start to finish how they would handle the job. They answered all my questions and even helped me handle the claim with my homeowners insurance company. From the first day to the final cleanup day, they exceeded my expectations. I was given email addresses and cell phone numbers to contact the coordinator, ***** whenever I thought of another question and believe me I had quite a few. Their roofing team showed up on the day expected and removed all the old roofing material pretty quickly. I had wood damage to a portion of the roof and they meticulously removed the old wood and replaced it free of charge. There were no add ons or surprise bills. Probably, the most important aspect of the job was the daily clean up as they were working. I was concerned about the dumpster that was dropped in my driveway, but they placed heavy wood under it to make sure there weren't any marks left on the driveway. I also was concerned about my front lawn being filled with nails and parts of the old roof that were removed. I envisioned ladder holes where they placed them on the lawn, however they were very respectful to take care and be careful. A big shout out to ***** and ***. Always just a phone call away. They handled every question, supply demand and surprises and made me a very happy customer. The roofing team worked from first thing in the morning to dusk, leaving enough time to make sure they cleaned well. The team that did my roof were hard working men that knew their job. Thank you to *****, *** and the roofing crew.Review fromDebra E

Had hail damage in June of 2012, now 10 years later, our roof is leaking from popped up nails. The flashing is bad around the pipes and chimney also! We have interior damage from the rain coming inside our home. I called Cedar Valley only to learn their warranty is only GOOD for three years. I am retired now and this roof was supposed to take my husband and I into retirement! Good grief! This workmanship stuff used to be unacceptable. Thank you, Cedar Valley Exteriors because you give roofing companies a bad name. In closing, our deductible is $3000. and feel your company ought t stand by your workmanship. Letnthis be a wARNING TO NEW CUSTOMERS.Cedar Valley Exteriors, Inc.

Hi *****, While I can empathize with having a leak and being frustrated, the workmanship warranty is three years for a reason. We have notes stating that you had an ice storm that caused damage in 2013, which we did assist on even though it was new damage. We also have reports of multiple other storms over the years on this location. In addition to that we cannot control the insulation in the attic, the maintenance of power vents, the removal of ice, as well as the damage from trees and storms. The agreement you signed when you chose us stated the 3 year workmanship warranty. Most companies only were offering a 1 year workmanship warranty. The 25+ year material and labor warranties are longer and issued from ***** Corning and you can call them if you believe it is an issue with the materials. ***** Corning and all manufacturers limit their warranties to defective products and they would also look at new damage and conditions as limitations to it. You can try ***** Corning if you believe the shingles are faulty but it sounds like it is new wind/ice/storm damage to me. Wind can often pull the shingles up and cause nails to also pull up. Happy to provide you info on the multiple storms that have hit the house in the last 10 years. Please let me know if I can help. As for the negative comment saying we give "roofers a bad name" I do not believe that is fair to say in any way. We are one of the few companies that HAS stood behind our warranties for over ******************************************************************* writing. That is a responsible company. Most of the other companies that say anything to get the work go out of business within 5 years. We give the industry a solid example of tens of thousands of happy customers with warranties that were covered for the time they were in place.Review fromAnna M

This is post hurricane ***. We got their name from Home Advisors. I talked to someone on the phone who advised me they had an attorney in case my insurance wasn't giving me all the money they should. Then when he came by, he said they don't give estimates, he didn't even look at the roof. He said they take what the insurance gives us plus our deductible. We did not use them and from the other reviews, I'm glad we didn't. It's too bad they have an A+ rating, that is very misleading.Cedar Valley Exteriors, Inc.

We always create full estimates using the software that most major insurance companies use. We provide them to our customers and their insurance companies. When working on an insurance restoration project we create that FULL estimate after a customer signs up with us on an agreement that guarantees they only pay their deductible. When we first sign up a customer we start with a "general" estimate and put it on that agreement to sign up to give a basic idea of cost. But much like going to the doctor, you only pay your deductible unless you want extra items not covered. When you go to a doctor, or sign with a roofing contractor, you don't always know all the services that will be needed until you actually decide to use them and they start looking into the situation. Like a doctor we create the estimate and use the approved numbers that insurance will pay, but you ONLY pay your deductible. It won't matter if the job is cheaper or more expensive than the initial (and almost always incorrect) estimate you received from your insurance company. What matters is that the contractor you work with is experienced enough to know what is necessary to restore your roof properly and the codes and requirements involved. Then they need to line item those charges on an estimate for your insurance carrier. That is what we do. You did not use us, nor allow us to do such an estimate. We have been doing this in ** since **** for victims of hurricanes ***********************, *****, ****, *******, *** and countless smaller storms. I'm sorry that your short initial experience with us was not what you expected and I hope you found someone to take care of your property. Our A+ rating is hard earned and well deserved. It reflects our work with thousands and thousands of happy customers who actually used our services. And yes, we also can refer an attorney when those situations arise in which they are needed. We do not read policies nor get into policy or coverage related issues.Cedar Valley Exteriors, Inc.
