      These guys are crooks. They quoted me $13,000 for a new motor. They then charged me $15,000. The new motor caught fire the first day I had it, and burned up the motor and damaged wiring in the boat. They're blaming the boat, and have modified the wiring (covering up their mistake). They're now holding my boat and expecting me to pay $1,800 for work I didn't authorize.

      1.  During the repower of the customer's boat, it was noted that the existing wiring was improperly routed and in poor condition. These concerns were clearly documented on the invoice and also communicated directly to the customer. The customer declined to have these issues addressed at that time.
      2.  The repower was successfully completed and thoroughly tested at our facility. The engine was fully operational and was started in the customers presence prior to departure.
      3.  After taking the boat home, the customer installed the trolling motor batteries independently. Unfortunately, the batteries were wired incorrectly, resulting in 24 volts being routed through the engine system. This caused significant damage and led to a fire.
      4.  Following a discussion with the customer, we took corrective action to properly rewire the trolling motor batteries. This service was performed at no cost to the customer.
      5.  The $1,800 referenced by the customer pertains to the replacement cost of the engine cowling, which was damaged as a result of the incident. We offered to replace the cowling without charging any labor fees, in an effort to assist the customer and resolve the situation amicably.

      This is simply a distorted answer, and another illustration of this unethical business. They quickly covered up their wiring mistake (wiring the new battery incorrectly to the trolling battery bank). They then drafted a report that blamed the boat's wiring. It needed a new motor, but all of the electrical worked before they started cutting into it.

      We purchased a ************* in 2022. We understood the delivery and production issues all boat vendors were experiencing and were patient with the process. We took delivery while missing the ******. We were expecting a short delay (***** days), but did not receive the ****** until the 2023 season; only after being accused of having already received it. We (finally) took delivery from Foster Brothers at the dealership and brought it home. We found several parts were either never received, or lost during transportation. We contacted Foster Brothers trying to order the missing pieces, but they have been entirely unresponsive. Don't know what to do at this point. We are going on year 2 yeas without a ******, and no resolution in sight.
