    Please see this video ******************************************************************************************************************** have been without an elevator for 3 months. Those of us who live on the 5th floor (which I do) have not been able to leave our apartments. This is a serious health and safety violation and no one is helping us. we have been told our families are to help us but some of us don't have families or our family lives far away. I have not been able often to get my medications and my laundry done. I have had to scramble to find help and my kids are often driving 100 miles each way to help me. We are expected to pay rent during this situation. It was only supposed to last 1 month we are on month 3 please help.

    Dear *** and Family,

    As a representative of ****** Management, I have been a part of the elevator modification project at Maple Grove Estates from the beginning.First off, as much as this is inconvenient and frustrating for you and other tenants at Maple Grove, your safety is our #1 priority.  

    Elevator modifications are federally, and state mandated and when companies are required to upgrade and/or update the elevator in their buildings or properties per the new and /or most current state/federal regulations and/or guidelines. ****** Management scheduled our mandatory upgrades with *** and all modifications have been completed.  A couple hours before the state inspection (to put it back in service), *** noticed that the hydraulic lift/**** had a crack and it was leaking fluid, which is not good.  These mechanical pieces of equipment don't normally break down, this equipment is made to sustain the lifetime of the elevator and building its in.  When this happened *** got on the phone immediately and called the 3 companies in the ************* and ****** that make elevator ****s.  The hydraulic **** is 35ft long and imbedded in a shaft in the ground under the elevator and isn't a part that is "in stock" sitting on a shelf to get shipped out. This **** had to be made with specific specs and design to work with the elevator at Maple Grove. It is not coming from overseas as stated on the news, it was being built in ************** and shipped from there. With **** diligent efforts in finding one of the 3 companies stated above the process time from making the 35ft **** and shipping it was 9-12 weeks.  The other 2 companies quoted ***** weeks. As of today 5/13/2024, the new Hydraulic **** is being installed and once it is all in place, tested and inspected, it will be up and running again soon.
