      Run fast and far. I had DBS aire seal my attic with spray foam and add insulation in 2023. They did damage and took two months to get them out to fix. We never felt warmer. Now I have infrared imaging showing the areas they missed and they never added the amount of insulation contracted. The spray foam is 1/4" in places, not 1"They have no-showed on me twice since March 2025 on scheduled dates to fix.

      Henrik with DBS was by far the best of 3 contractor visits and quotes we obtained. He was extremely thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. He took more time, accessed every portion of the crawl space, took many more photos (clear & high resolution), used technology the others didn’t have, and patiently explained everything that was needed and not needed to mitigate any and all issues with the property. I highly recommend him for anyone needing crawl space or basement inspection.

      I had a terrible experience with this company. I had a free inspection and decided to get work done. I signed the contract while the salesperson was here to save 5% off the total cost of approx. $10,000. This was mid-Nov 2024, the work was slated for early January 2025. I was to get a call a week beforehand to confirm the date that was set when the salesperson was at my house for the inspection. I never received the call. The day before the work was to be done, no call. So, late in the day, I called the salesperson and asked if they were going to do the work the next day, because no one called to confirm. He actually asked me how I knew they were supposed to do the work the next day, and I replied because he set it up while he was here! The appointment fell apart from there. No one seemed to have any idea what was going on. Long story short, I ended up canceling. I had lost all faith that DBS could/would do a satisfactory job. It took TWO MONTHS to receive my refund, and I only received it because I called every single week. And every single week I was told the check would be signed the following Friday and I would receive it the next week. I called EVERY SINGLE WEEK FOR TWO MONTHS! Finally, I received the check, but it was $975 short! So after calling the CFO and leaving numerous voice mails regarding the shortage, I was contacted by the salesperson who did the inspection. The reason for the shortage? If a project is cancelled after 3-days of signing the contract, they retain 10%. Great. The salesperson insisted I was aware of this. Okay, it’s my word against theirs. Bottom line, think long and hard before signing on the day of the inspection. Saving 5% is absolutely not worth it. Note: I agree with other reviews regarding their customer service. Bad! And it’s true about the “run-around”, they’ve got that down to a science.

We understand how important it is to have confidence in the company you choose for home improvement projects, and we regret that we did not uphold that trust in your case.

      We also regret any misunderstanding regarding the contract terms. While we strive to be transparent about our policies, we recognize that this aspect of your experience contributed to your frustration, and we will work on improving how we communicate this information upfront.

      While we had to wait a couple months, the wait was worth it. A full crew showed up to insulate the attic and garage. Friendly crew and cleaned up when they left.

      I was very pleased with the work done on my basement. The 2 gentlemen were courteous and professional. The foreman, Eddie, explained the work being done, summoned me to inspect during the work and answered my questions. I was told it may be a 2 day job, but they were able to complete the project in one day. They cleaned up the worksite and did a great job raking and leveling the yard, in spite of it being December in Wisconsin.

      Customer Service is bad. They say one thing, do another. They did some work at my home on my basement walls. Some of the wall did not hold up. They came over and said that it was there fault. I just want it fixed. All I get is a run around.

      One of the worst companies EVER!!! The sales person said one thing, and come to find out the hard way, the contract said something different. They were a no call no show on the day they were scheduled. I called several times to get a resolution about the difference between the sales person and the contract and no response. They also scheduled the job without letting me know. I canceled the project because of the aforementioned issues and they kept over 10%. Contrary to what I was told they would keep. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

      I'm very sorry about the frustrations you encountered with your project. I spoke with my team for some background and learned that we had you on the schedule in December 2023, but you were not able to move items from your basement in time for that project date and so it was postponed.  It looks like we contacted you earlier this year to reschedule and sent a crew out this summer.  When they arrived they were unable to do work because items had not been removed from the work areas in the basement. From what I can see on your account, we did successfully cancel the project for you.  We do retain 10% to cover our costs in time and materials.  If you have any other questions, we would be happy to answer them.
