  We have had this company install replacement windows in our home and in the parsonage at our church as well as sliding patio doors in the parsonage.. The windows themselves are of poor quality and the installation was not done well. The company responded to our complaint and returned to our home and did some work. The windows are still not satisfactory and remain poor quality.The company has declined to do anything to improve the installation of the windows at our church. We have been frustrated for well over a year in trying to work with this company and would certainly never recommend them to anyone.

  I spoke with *********** on the phone on Monday, 03/11/2024. We discussed the issues he is having with his windows at his home and at his church parsonage. This past year we were at his house and the parsonage and performed the following work - resealed and reinsulated windows at ***** home and at the parsonage, corrected inside trim work and adjusted 3 windows to close properly as well as installing cosmetic s**** caps and some re-caulking. We have not heard from them since this work was done in early September of 2023 until the recent reviews. We agreed to have the head of the church's property committee contact us to schedule a site visit in the near future. Sincerely, Les.

  I had this company install a screen door and an entry door on my house, it was some of the worse work I have ever had a company do. They billed me without even going through a punch list when the project was finished. The screen door would not shut properly and the gasket on the bottom of the door was ruined. The entry door would also not shut properly, the latch would not catch and the dead bolt would not lock. The hinge was missing screws and three different types of screws were used.After multiple meetings with an estimator I finally asked to have the owner come out to fix these problems. At one point during the conversation I thought the guy was going to punch me and asked him if intimidation was part of his business model. I could not believe an owner of a business would treat his customers this way.My door still does not shut properly and wish I never would have hired this company to do any work for me, this was one of the worse experiences I have ever had with a company and can not recommend to anyone to hire this company.

  Regarding ********************* ID #******. We installed a steel entry door and storm door for ************** in the fall of 2020. We attempted to respond to his concerns about the door issues and finally connected with him at his rental house. We adjusted his door latch and storm door weather strip. We have not heard from him regarding any other concerns until now (2 years later). ************** should contact us regarding his concerns directly. - Les

  In June 2022 I contracted with Les Grumdahl Window & Siding at **************************************************, to replace my old gutters and downspouts. A sub contractor was sent to my house a month latter. Their arrival was unannounced, and started working on my house. The work should have been a 1/2 day job but because of a mistake on their part, they had to return the following week to complete the job. Upon completion, the sub contractor checked (some) of their work for water tightness, (the downspout leaked water). In an attempt to stop the leaks he applied tape to the seams and left. I checked that work and found that it and all other downspouts, every one of them, leaked water. In addition, there were 2 gutter corners that were poorly joined and were not of the quality I accept nor expect from a company claiming to "providing solutions to the northland for over 75 years". They also claim to have "a certified installation crew to make sure it looks perfect", and "we go the extra mile for your satisfaction". I am not satisfied at all with the work that was done. 2 phone calls and one text message were sent trying to arrange a meeting with Les Grumdalh because we were not satisfied with the work that had been done. We received no response until the following month of August 2022 when Les Grumdahl called and said he would be out with his "gutter guy" to look at the project. Les Grumdahl arrived a few days later, alone, and listened to our complaints. He did not offer to fix the problems. He did not offer a refund. He simply offered excuses as to why the problems existed, and then left. As per Les Grumdahl's contract, this job was supposed to be "completed in a *******-like manner". I do not feel that was achieved at all. To my fellow military veterans, and anyone looking for a contractor in the ****** area, my recommendation is to do some research, ask your friends for recommendations and find someone who is capable and willing to do a decent and honorable job.

  We installed aluminum gutters and downspouts for the ******** in July of 2022. With their direction, the front downspout for the gutter over the porch was diverted horizontally over the garage door for a span of over 20 which required a splice as the downspouts come in 10 lengths. This downspout lies horizontally at a one-degree angle, which is almost level. This downspout will have water in the downspout. It is impossible to seal the joint in the downspout. The majority of water from the roof over the porch is diverted where it needs to go. On Tuesday, August 9th, 2022, I visited the site and explained the above issue to the ******** as well as the corner joint on the upper gutter cannot lay flat because the smaller section of gutter hangs on an angled fascia and connects to another gutter that is hung on a straight fascia. We feel we have done our best to satisfy their concerns and responded to their calls and inquiries in a timely manner.

  The excuses from Les Grumdahl Window & Siding continue. They sent sub-contractors to do the job we contracted them to do. The end result was leaking downspouts and poorly fitted gutter joints. It appears this business feels this is acceptable and the best they can do. If I knew they couldn't do the job properly I wouldn't have hired them in the first place.
