    I purchased a set of hearing aids from HEARtoday on June 4 2022. There is a 3 year warranty on them. Now I am finding that the battery in my right hearing aid is going down much faster than the left one, after less than 6 months. So in contacted HEARtoday and told them about it. They said that is probably a manufacturing defect. It would need to be sent back to the factory for repair or replacement. I have a severe hearing loss so I cannot go with only one hearing aid for the 2 weeks it would take to resolved the situation. I would need a loaner for that 2 week period. *********************, owner, said that she could provide me a loaner but that she would have to charge me $100 for the loaner. This problem was not caused by me; it was caused by the manufacturer. If there are costs involved in setting up a loaner, those costs should be born by the manufacture and not by me. **** did not agree with me on that. She was very rigid and inflexible in that. If I had lost a hearing aid or damaged it or of it was out of warranty then maybe I should pay a loaner fee. But not for a manufacturing defect that appears after less that 6 months of ownership.

    You did not purchase the hearing device from **********************. You purchased it from your third party discount program. These discount programs pay a fitting fit for basic services. I give exceptional service but do need to charge for loaners for people who do not purchase directly from me. This is not a required service from your discount company and is outlined for you by your discount company. In fact, representatives from your discount company emailed you and called you to tell you I was correct. You just didn't like it, you signed up for your discount company and we all must abide by their rules, even the one we don't like.
