    I was sold a 2008 YZF R1 by simply ride motorcycle dealership. Upon picking up the bike within 30 minutes I realized the bike was faulty and had a malfunction. I contacted the dealership which told me someone will be in contact with me but nobody reached out. I brought the bike in myself and it took them a month and half to look ok at my bike and send out for a claims adjuster. The warranty company told me that upon inspection of the bike, it looks like the bike had issues prior to the sale so they will not be covering the repairs on the bike.

    The motorcycle you bought did not have any issues when it immediately left. We received a report of these issues after your initial ride of the bike. We immediately took action to correct the problem. Your bike arrived at our service department with extensive cosmetic damage that it did not leave here with. The bike also had 197 miles on it since the time of purchase. We immediately submitted a claim with the warranty company. Once a claim is submitted, we must wait for a response from the company which can take some time. The warranty company then requested information from Komi that he openly refused to provide which delayed their response time. The bike was checked into service on 7/7/2023, **** refused to provide information until  8/1/2023. Once we were able to get the information **** refused to provide, they were able to move forward with an approval of diagnostics. Diagnostics have been completed, now we are waiting for an approval on the repairs. Furthermore, **** came into the store to discuss his options in person. We had already performed diagnostics on the bike so we were able to show him the direct cause of failure. **** claimed to be mechanically minded and agreed that the cause of failure was a crankshaft bearing. **** agreed we were on the right track and said he would wait for a response from us. At the time of leaving the store, he said he was satisfied with our performance in this matter. The reported review above has multiple statements that are not accurate. The status as of now is that the warranty company has inspected the bike in person, and we are awaiting a decision from them on coverage.
