      We have been renting a storage unit with this company for the last couple of years. We recently emptied the storage on 7/6/24. We have asked the company to prorate and refund us a portion of our July rent because we emptied it. They are not willing to do so. Furthermore, there was water issues with this storage facility and it leaking. We are asking for a refund of $96.77. This would be the prorated amount of the days we are NOT using the storage unit.

      We do not prorate upon tenants moving out, only upon moving in.

      Also, the leaking was a matter of uncommonly harsh winter conditions, and all tenants were contacted, pictures were documented of any issues, and ALL tenants were advised to let us know if there were any issues.  Furthermore, all steps were taken to make sure the integrity of the building was not compromised so this would not happen again.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      We moved out of the storage place 4 days after the first.  Which, by the way, was a holiday.  There is no reason why they cannot prorate this.

      Its a crappy way to do business.
