On September 24, 2024, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business performed or offered to perform technology systems work without the required technology systems; electrical contractor license; power limited technician, master electrician or journeyworker electrician licenses, a violation of Minn. Stat. 326B.33, subds. 1, 2, 7, 14, 15, 16, (2022) and allegations that they engaged in a fraudulent, deceptive or dishonest practice by performing services beyond the scope of their license, a violation of Minn. Stat. 326B.84 (2)(2022) and Minn. Rule 2891.0040, subp. 1G (2021) and allegations that they violated the terms of a March 2022 Consent Order by performing technology systems work, in violation of Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11 (b)(5)(IV) (2022).
Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to cease and desist from performing or offering to perform electrical and/or technology systems work in Minnesota until they have the required licenses. The business agreed to pay $1,500.00 of the stayed fine from 2022 with the remaining balance of $1,500.00 stayed and a $5,000.00 fine, with the full balance of $6,500.00 stayed on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority.
