We contracted for a basement remodel and a few others things about 12 months ago - late 2021/early 2022. The project went really well and we were very happy for the final outcomes except for a couple of things that we continue to try and get resolution on. One of the final things for the basement remodel was to have a cabinet built that would go under our steps (build-in). The cabinet that was built didn't fit and was wrong for the space, so a new one had to be built. This put the project behind the agreed upon deadline for completion of 7/4/2022. The new agreed upon deadline was sometime in October, 2022. We are now coming to the end of 2022 and are 5 months behind schedule and 2 months behind the secondary deadline. The owner (****) has not been able to offer a solution and date for completion of the basement remodel. We need the build-in cabinet installed and we need baskets for the build-in shelves that were installed delivered. We also have had a problem with the thermostat installed during the remodel that has caused a problem with our heated floors which a heating company is figuring out how to fix and has already recommended going back to the original thermostat - we have been quoted a price of $2300 to fix the heated floor problem we believe was caused by ****** team during the remodel. The owner (****) has now said we will owe another $2500 to install the build-in shelving unit to get them to install. We don't feel that is fair and at the very least there would be a cost/expense to her for delivering on the project more than 5 months late and causing a problem with our heated floor thermostat's. Resolution for us would be a date of when we can expect the project to be completed and no additional charges. We will cover the costs to fix whatever her team did with our floors and thermostat. Thanks *** and *********************************
