On November 27, 2024, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.33, subds. 1,2,7,14,15,16; 326B.36; 326B.46;326B.47; 326B.805, subds. 1 and 3; 326B.84 (2)(4)(14)(15) (16) (2022) and Minn. Rule 2891.0040, subps. 1B and 1H (2021). Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to cease and desist from: acting or claiming to be a residential building contractor, remodeler or residential roofer; performing or offering to perform electrical work for others; performing or offering to perform plumbing work for others until they are properly licensed in Minnesota. The business also agreed to have all contracts and change orders be in writing, per Minn. Stat. 326B.809; obtain all building permits as required at or before beginning work; and maintain all business records for three years from completion of the contracted work. The business will also pay $7,000.00 of a $15,500.00 fine, with the balance stayed on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority.
