  I give it a big ZERO. We had the same awful, awful experience. Please never use their product. They are windows leak, the trim and corners don’t meet, we now have a second cracked window. Hayfield will take no responsibility for a defective product. We kept getting told the product is just fine.

  Hello,

   I do not have enough information going off of her name only to look into this deeper, spoke with the service ***** and cannot find anyone that remembers speaking to her recently. From her statement above it sounds like service has been to her home or at least spoke to her in the past and resolved the issues. If her complaints/*** issues are prior to ************************ our system and would put her windows out of labor warranty.

  New windows installed all have scrapes and scratches that looked like they are covered up with brown marker. Three of the windows do not close correctly as they seem to fall 1-2”. When trying to latch them, the gap between the locking mechanism is so far apart you have to pull the windows together to get them to lock in place. Once locked the top window still falls 1/4” as there is too much play in the window.
  Contractor and lumberyard said Hayfield has been contacted but they have yet to reach out to us.

  We do have a service request in the system, I will be looking into what the delay is with the service department and they should be in touch shortly to schedule an appointment and resolve these issues.

  Horrible service. Won’t return calls. Every window out of 23 were built crooked and they wouldn’t shut leaving a .25” gap at the top. They sent a guy out who told me this and rebuilt every sliding window. He said they were built and shipped before dry so they dried crooked on the semi. Then they sent out the same guy because every trim piece that seals the window was falling out of the windows. This they said was poorly made trim so they came back again and replaced every piece of that. Now for the worst. Every window when it’s cold gets ice up to 1/2” thick and 1-1 1/2” back from the window when it’s below zero. They say it’s caused by humidity although I have a new house with the air exchanger set low, fans at medium all winter circulating air, no window coverings, and house at 71 degrees. I have bought and sold over 10 homes over the years and have never seen anything this bad in any of them ranging from 10 years old - 70 years old. They refuse to help and I’d just like to be sure that no one else has to deal with this. If anyone doubts this feel free to call hayfield and try and talk to someone in service then you’ll know exactly what you’re about to deal with. Thanks for reading!
