Terrible experience with this company. My mom passed away and I was clearing out her apartment. Unfortunately, I had to part with many sentimental items and wanted them donated. It says all over their website that they donate. I asked repeatedly when I booked if they donate and they said yes. Confirmed it with the crew, oh yeah, we donate. Crew members treated every item like trash. Didnt have a cart and refused to use the one that I provided. They were moving one item at a time by hand. One guy was busy on his phone so he walked back and forth carrying no furniture. Because they showed up at the end of their window, I only had two hours to get this stuff out. That should be plenty of time to empty a one bedroom apartment, even with long hallways. They were so slow I ended up moving half of it myself - I got a cart and loaded up tables, boxes, lamps. I did this three times. Then they took the cart and I thought they had it figured out. Nope- the cart was sitting in the parking lot with items I loaded, while they continued to manhandle individual items. I continued moving items by hand, and they were obviously happy I was doing it. They had items stacked all over the memory care facility. They had to repack the truck because they didnt put the sofa in until the end. Items were strewn all over the parking lot. They dropped and broke a marble table that could have been donated. Dropped and broke a glass coffee table. Kicked a little metal trash can through the garage- now it was dented and couldnt be donated. Dragged a blanket through the garage. Brand new lamps could have been donated but shades were smashed and crumpled. I lodged a formal complaint and was told the crew didnt even bring the load to the warehouse to be sorted for donation items- they just hauled everything to the dump. Beautiful antique dressers, my grandmas antique sofa. Gone. New dining room table, chairs, lamps not donated. Their website says they donate- false advertising.
