    I hired the merchant to move our furniture into a new custom built house we had purchased. Through the move process several pieces of furniture were damaged as well as some interior custom wood work. I contacted the merchant and sent pictures of all of the damages. I asked the merchant to come see the damages and have their repair person come out, neither of them happened. The merchant took the position that the furniture damages were the result of normal wear and tear, and that is totally incorrect. We are a well to do couple that has nice furnishings. I hired a repair person the home builder recommended to do the wood work repair. I asked the merchant to reimburse me only for the labor to complete the repair, not the material used as I had to purchase materials for a few other repairs. I purchased touch up pens to repair the furniture ****** myself. I paid the merchant $2,800 for the move and asked to be reimbursed $255 for the wood work repair and $10 for the cost of the mark up pens. They have declined to reimburse me for what is a fraction of the real cost of the damages. The merchant has been slow to respond, condescending in not coming out to inspect the furniture damages and suggesting they were normal wear and tear and not at all reasonable. I have disputed the entire $2800 with the credit card comany.I had not looked at BBB before I hired them, and had I seen their F rating I would not have hired them.
