On Nov. 2019 LaMettry’s Collision was to repair following to my vehicle: front fender, passenger door, refinish 1 rim, replace the windshield. I was unable to pickup my vehicle due to incorrect billing. I took care of the windshield replacement after. The est. allotted 11 days for the repair but took 32 days. LaMettry’s did not respond to Enterprise Rent-A-Car and I was billed. $230.86. I was due a free rental on the rim repair and it was not utilized. The wrong rim was refinished so I had to go back. Now Lemettry’s claimed I would have to pay out-of-pocket for the rental. When getting the spare out of my trunk they killed all 3 amplifiers and integration unit. The car returned w/the spare on the wrong tire. LaMettry refuses to take any accountability and threatened me over this when notified. I had to work thru Ken S******** in 2021 for add’l warranty work as a result. The past 2yrs they have been avoiding taking accountability for more workmanship issues. The work is under warranty as long as I own the car. The fix on the fender what is filed under Geico and LaMettry is not a preferred shop. Geico can’t enforce the warranty. The warranty needs to go directly through LaMettry’s. 1-27–2024 & 2025 Aaron I**** won't contact Ken S******** for me. Aaron does acknowledge it’s a warranty issue. I can't attach the VM rec'd for all to hear. Here is the dic. “Hey Mark, this is Aaron over at LaMettry's Collision. I got in touch with my manager and I'm not sure who you pissed off in the past but they said I am not allowed to help you at all. You are not welcome back. So if you have any other questions about that, feel free to give me a call. My direct number is xxx-xxx-8783. Thank you.Bye.”
I feel this is directed, hostile, threatening and not safe for me to go back. There is no basis or reason what the problem is? Aaron is acting as a third-party to relay the hostility, a form of retaliation and he's stating their power and control. I need the BBB assistance.

My new 2024 Honda Civic Type R in Championship White was brought here to resolve some paint issues. Told the dealer my concerns about potential joyriding, but it seems like the body shop didn't get the memo.
Honestly, their work is excellent BUT for anyone who has a rarer and nicer than usual car, please have second thoughts about coming here. I had a few issues with how they treated my car and how they had a few hard pulls in my car without consent since the car was only in for paintwork. Every time i got my car back, there was always some issue caused by the shop. They also damaged a piece of my interior as well. They treated my car pretty rough in their care
NOTE FOR THE SHOP: People are watching and they paid for these vehicles with their hard earned money. Please treat customer cars with more respect and don't joyride their vehicles

I assume it was because of being very busy but it took a while to get in for an estimate and then to get in for repairs . But all that considered, we were extremely pleased with the outcome. You couldn’t tell where the work was done if you didn’t know from the beginning. We fell in love with our car all over again.
Thanks to all those who had anything to do with our vehicle.

Review limited to 2,000 characters, which doesn't do it justice. Please check out Yelp for the full details, under Kathy J. On October 17, 2022 I brought the vehicle into LaMettry's, Inver Grove Heights, for an estimate. The "Customer Service Manager", emailed me an estimate of just over $2,700. It appeared reasonable, so I agreed to pay cash without involving my insurance carrier. They scheduled me for repair approximately two months later. The original estimate increased to $10,050 after further evaluation. The representative told me that my vehicle was originally inspected by an individual who got the estimate completely wrong. When asking how this could occur, I was informed that he was nothing more than a file clerk, and he is no longer working there (They implied that he was fired for making too many mistakes but, after further questioning, I learned that he still works for LaMettry's, but they relocated him). Well run operations would generally send an experienced estimator out, along with an inexperienced estimator. Not at LaMettry's. They had no interest in fixing the situation which they created, through poor management - "I'm sorry, it's going to be $10,050, do you want to have it fixed, or not?". So, I have just waited two months to have my vehicle repaired, only to learn that the actual cost to repair it would now be approximately 300% more than the original estimate. Had I known that when I received the original estimate, I would have; 1) Involved my insurance company, and; 2) Chosen another body shop to have it repaired. They put you in this position of sending an uninformed estimator, providing you with a reasonable or perhaps even a below market quote to repair the vehicle, make you wait two months so you will have to wait another two months if you should get upset and move it to another body shop. Bait and Switch at its finest. I took possession of the car. I decided to wait another two months rather than have this shop repair my car.

LaMettrys does acknowledge the estimate provided our customer was incomplete. Estimates written on vehicles, before the vehicle is fully disassembled after we take possession, are often adjusted for repair damage not visable to the estimator upon initial inspection. In these situations, our customers are informed of the hidden damage dollar totals before we begin repairs, in order to give them the opportunity to file a claim on their auto insurance policy. LaMettry's also acknowledges other factors in this case that added to our customer's frustration. Our estimator should have explained that the final repair total could be much higher after we identify hidden damage after complete disassembly. Also, due to high demand for our services which have caused our appointments to be booked out for months vs. weeks as normal, this customer waited an extremely long time before being informed of the repair damage total cost after disassembly in order to make a decision on the need to file a claim on his auto insurance policy.********'s makes every effort to educate our customers on the auto collision industry process. In this instance, we did not communicate clearly to our customer. We understand our customer is frustrated, and regret the loss of trust in our ability to provide our services.

That is nonsense. They did not disassemble the car when providing me with the revised figure, which was 300% higher than the original. It was merely done by a more experienced estimator, who was actually responsible for the work of the original estimator. When I picked up the vehicle it was in exactly the same condition as when I left it. It had not been disassembled, as their reply would imply. They are extremely unprofessional, and do not back up their work. Being off by 20-30%, might be understandable, not 300%. Bait and Switch, but they dont care when the insurance company gets hit with the difference. If I was a claims rep for an insurance company, I would not do business with them. Buyer Beware.
