    This accounting and tax firm completed our business and personal tax returns for ~ 10 years. Over the last couple of years, they became increasingly less responsive to emails and phone calls - you'd have to call and/or email them multiple times in order to get a response. But they would still ultimately offer an apology, get the work done, and pay any late fees. Their family experienced some personal challenges during this time and that understandably impeded their business. Regardless, this should have been our warning. But we ignored the red flags. In 2024, they just quit responding and totally ghosted us. Unfortunately, they filed a tax extension for us and we had to find another accountant to finish up the extension, which caused a late filing of our taxes. Why? They never told us they didn't intend to respond and finish our taxes. We've experienced significant penalties and interest on taxes owed. Zero communication despite dozens of emails, texts, and calls.
