Transaction of 7/22/22:I paid $12,000.00 for removal of concrete driveway and replacement by permeable material. The material **** put down was a deep layer of loose granite pieces which I was told would 'settle' in time. This was July; by late Fall the driveway had not settled and was still deep enough to show trenches when driven over, clearly making it impossible to either shovel or blow the impending snow. After I had sent several texts, **** wrote that he would come to 'assess' the driveway; eventually one of his employees came and agreed with me. Still nothing done and no communication. I sent **** a "certified mail receipt" letter stating the amount it cost me to replace the granite pieces with the correct material ($795.00). This was 11/30/22. No response.

    Good morning

I should have reached out and resolved this already I apologize for the inconvenience

We were contacted by the homeowner to come and look at a driveway in perfectly good shape to be replaced because the water runs down the driveway into the street and the homeowner didnt want water pooling up at the end of the driveway.

I suggested to her that we install granite so the water can run through the rocks before it gets to the end of the driveway. The homeowner thought about it for a week or two and decided that they would like to go with that decision.

I brought over three different styles of rock to install for the water to filter through. She picked quarry gray granite. These pieces are a little bit bigger than a marble we installed them, roughly 5 inches thick. We ran a compactor over to settle all the rock. The rock looked just fine when we left the granite was compacted down and I told the homeowner that the rocks would still settle a little bit because theyre not glued in place theyre loose so they will always shift.

I have two parking lots with the same exact material in it and I plow it every year. Yes, the rocks do shift a little bit, but it is still plowable and usable for the draining of the water that is the purpose of the granite is so the water drains through.

Also, another team member went over and looked at the homeowners request to change the project and he told her it would cost more money. The homeowner said they would have to think about it again and get back to us, then about a month or two later we receive the letter from the homeowner and thought it was crazy.

I feel like the situation here is that the homeowner didnt know what to expect when they started the project for what they wanted to install to fix their water issue.

    Thanks,

     Matthew
