  This company is trying to scam me. I should’ve never believed them now I’m in a position where they’re harassing me to pay for the whole roof and my insurance company already paid them and now they won’t stop. I didn’t think they would keep harassing me after I gave them $5000 in cash. We should be at zero balance and now they’re charging me $700 every couple months in interest. This is so stressful on me and I don’t know what’s gonna happen.

  Hello,********************* signed a contract with Intelligent Design to complete the work, which was covered by the insurance company. The total cost of the job was $18,749.21, and this amount was sent to the insurance company. Intelligent Design contacted the insurance company to confirm that all payments had been released. The insurance company confirmed that they had sent $17,749.21 ($18,749.21 - $1000 deductible) to *********************, and she had cashed all checks. However, Intelligent Design only received $7,749.59 from *****. In our email communication, it was explained that insurance companies don't pay contractors; they pay homeowners directly so they can pay their contractors. We are not attempting to harass or scam *****, but rather seeking payment for the work completed by Intelligent Design.

  This company was referred to me by insurance agent for a water damage claim. Insurance agent refers many of his customers to them and has used them himself. I felt confident. I had to move out to a hotel for 3 months with my 2 dogs.
  I checked in daily and showed up numerous times at MY home to see progress. Long story short I.D.C never pulled permits and never did 1/2 the work they charged for. They are under investigation on numerous levels with City, State, insurance fraud division and NBCI. My home has been left in shambles, my personal property has been ruined and contaminated from the category 3 water contamination. Company will not give me or my adjusters detailed bill of what they did or didn’t do. Also, used my personal property to use during renovation, vacuum, buckets, paint supplies, ladders, as well as my furnace as HVAC, and HEPA filter. I have pictures of everything.

  ****, the owner, told us "this job is peanuts to me." He does not have pride in the quality of his team's work. I have him recorded saying all sorts of things trying to degrade my 25k+ roofing and siding project. If you have a "small" project, look elsewhere. ****, *****, and **** have yet to take accountability for how badly they screwed up our project. It has been 6 months for a simple roofing and siding project, and we are still in limbo. The siding crew damaged our window trim, and we had to pull teeth to get IDC to fix it. The roofing crew used a leaf blower to blow tar off, which ruined my deck (and a piece for melted to my dog a couple of weeks after!) Not to mention the hundreds of staples and nails that I had to pick up myself. Literally no cleanup, just left their broom for me to do it! I've had exposed ******************* outside for 8 weeks after your crew took off my garage access light. **** told me that there aren't any electricians because "they are all down in ******* because of the storms". You failed your inspection and this is how you continue to treat us?If you enjoy headaches, poor craftsmanship, lackluster communication, and piss-poor attempts to make it right, go with Intelligent Design! I suggest that you use a different contractor that respects you and your time.
