      It is with great pleasure that I am writing this letter of recommendation for Rachel ******, who serves as the Community Manager of Vista Del Lago, Park Ridge, Illinois. Rachel has worked for Vista Del Lago for many years. Our relationship began when Rosen Management was our management company, and Rachel has guided us through the successful transition with RowCal.
      As the Vista Del Lago secretary, I have had the privilege of working closely with Rachel for several years and can certify her immeasurable worth as an exemplary community manager.
      Rachel has displayed incredible competence in her role, along with an unshakeable sense of diligence and responsibility. Although our building is a moderate size, it is an older building and requires frequent and sometimes long-term maintenance projects (we currently have multiple vendors on site). Additionally, we just completed a four-year structural renovation project (with multiple contractors), and her organizational skills during the process were invaluable.
      One of Rachel's core strengths is her strong communication skills. Whether managing owner relationships or communicating with vendors, she displays professionalism along with a pleasant personality that enhances those relationships.
      Rachel is a tremendous asset to RowCal, and her commitment to doing an exemplary job has been instrumental to the success of our building.

      I serve on the Coppertree board. Since taking over our management they failed to pay the funds paid to them by owners to pay for our trash service for 3 months, causing us to nearly lose that service. They have failed over and over to respond to questions posed by the board over contracted services that submitted for payment items not approved by the board costing over $1000. Questions asked by the Board
      and not responded to for 3+ months, repeatedly. They were informed by the Board president in a timely manner to reinvest funds in a CD that were not currently needed and failed to reinvest them at the time requested, causing the Association to fined a late fee by the investment institution, and chose to bill the Association for the late fee for their mismanagement. They are to manage the upkeep of the property. We found out that we have been paying for an emergency phone at our pool for years at $500/month, then recently realized that the phone was never connected to be able to function for emergency services. These are only a few of the many breaches of our contract with them for management services.

      Thank you for sharing your concerns. While we understand and respect the Boards recent decision to transition to a new management company, we do feel it is important to clarify that many of the statements presented are not factually accurate.

      Throughout our engagement with the ********************* RowCal has consistently acted in good faith, addressing all operational issues without disruption to resident services and at no additional cost to the Association. In every instance raised, RowCal resolved the matter promptly once aware -ensuring the community was not negatively impacted.

      We are always open to dialogue and have made multiple attempts to offer full context and supporting documentation to explain the timeline and decisions related to the services and financial management cited in your message. However, at this stage, it may be most productive for all parties to simply agree to move forward without continuing to circulate incomplete narratives that do not reflect the full scope of events.

      We appreciate the opportunity we had to serve the ******************** and wish the Board continued success in their next chapter.

      These people set a new standard in total incompetence. I arranged for auto-pay of my monthly HOA fees. Every month, Rowcal charges me a late fee and interest and then withdraws the payment. And every month I tell them they can't charge me a late fee when they control the payment. And every month they claim they fixed the problem. And then it happens again every month. Is it even possible to be this stupid?

      Were sorry to hear your frustration and appreciate the opportunity to clarify whats been happening with your account.

      While we understand it may seem like the issue is on our end, the recurring payment date youve set up is actually the problem, and can only be corrected by you in the homeowner portal. Currently, you have scheduled your auto-payment to withdraw on the 22nd of each month, but late fees and interest are assessed on the 11th, per your governing documents. Because the payment is scheduled after the due date, the system is correctly applying those charges before the payment is processed.

      As a one-time courtesy, we can waive the late fee and interest from April. To prevent this from continuing each month, though, you will need to update your payment date to before the 10th of each month to ensure the payment processes before any fees are applied. Please note that payment setups must be adjusted before the actual draft date to be effective.

      Also, it may help to know that your payment is set to pull the full account balance as of the draft date, so any late fees, interest, or other charges that post beforehand will be included in the total withdrawn.

      No Rowcal, you're trying to mislead people. My auto-payments were working correctly for almost two years. I didn't change anything. Then you withdrew the wrong amount one month and you were never able to recover from your error. I've been contacting Rowcal every month, and every month Rowcal tells me the problem will be fixed. But while trying to fix your error, your people have withdrawn the right amount, then the wrong amount, then the right amount, and then the wrong amount. I have an email from someone at Rowcal, acknowledging that you turned my auto-pay off and on while you tried to fix the problem. The email says my auto-pay is set up to execute the May payment correctly. But then you still didn't do it right. My statement shows different payment activity almost every month, even though I haven't done anything to cause that. Everything worked correctly until you took control and created a mess. I've lost about $1000 of billable time while talking to your people who say the will solve things but then don't. Since you're so arrogant about offering a "one-time" refund for your errors, we should talk about reimbursing me for my other loss.

      I'm a 48 year resident of Kings Valley. I believe I'm the oldist Owner occupied
      townhouse at 2123 Tamarin Trail. I have contributed many hours of volunteer
      work over the many years here. I did work for pay the summer of 1999 for Jerry Robinson when he rescued KINGS VALLEY with all the work he did. KV was a mess and many things were approved & done. I'm 93 years old so I have not done voluteer work in the past few years as Dave Groth continues to do.
      The fence around upper deck & stairways are all peeling. Water based paint applied previously lasts only a year & then peels. PLEASE USE OIL BASED PAINT, After 48 years straight of my Homowners fee always on time I believe that would be done. ALSO WHAT ARE REPAINTING ON BACK DECKS

      Charged my unit for a roof assessment without my knowledge or the realtors knowledge. Costing me money I didn’t have. I called about a payment plan several time no one answered. Call again today with the money to finally cover it and the sent it to debt collection which is fine. However, they gave me a phone number to an attorney that doesn’t have my debt information because they no longer associate with my association for HOA. Then I emailed to see if it was another one and refused to provide any other information until I reach the attorney. Again they don’t have it. This business is a disaster and charging fees left and right, not answering the phone, and does not communicate anything.

      We also reviewed our records and did not find any payment plan requests on file previously. That said, we absolutely want to help resolve this as quickly as possible and strongly encourage you to respond to the latest communication from our collections team so we can get this matter resolved as soon as possible.

      Horrible Experience. If someone's mail is being returned to your office, why would you stop their auto pay and not send them an email (that they have used multiple times) and say
      "Hey, your address is wrong on file, can you please update that?"
      Instead - they stopped auto payment and sent it to their attorneys to foreclose on it, which incurred around $1500 in additional fees.

      Were sorry to hear your frustration, and want to clarify that we have worked to minimize the issue escalating throughout the months of no payments. Unfortunately, those efforts did not resolve it.

      Please know that multiple letters were sent to notify you of the growing balance, including notices in July, November, and December 2024. These communications included information about the balance, payment options, and next steps to help prevent further action.

      That said, we recognize your concern and are opening an inquiry to our homeowner portal software provider regarding any potential auto-payment issue during the system transition last fall. We want to better understand what happened in your specific case.

      I wish I could provide a "NO STAR" review but since I can't, I will give just one. I have been trying to reach Amanda ********** for a week. She is one of the property managers for the Denver CO area. I left 3 messages and was told each time that she would get right back to me. I have a few simple questions I would like to ask of her but obviously customer service is not her strong suit. In fact, when it comes to customer service, RowCal seems to be the worst in the HOA Management field that I have ever come across. I have been a realtor for 21 years and they are simply the worst for trying to obtain any information from. If I provided the same lack of customer service that this company and this community manager provides, I would no longer be in business.

      If I could provide negative five stars to rate the services of RowCall - I would! It has been an absolute nightmare to deal with property manager Rachel ******** in MN. She sends out harassing letters and fake violations to homeowners like myself! She assesses violations without providing proper evidence. She never returns phone calls. The latest violation was regarding a pet on my property which again is a form of harassment, because she knows i don't own any pets. I tried responding to her emails but there were all returned as undeliverable b/c she sends them not from her working email, but via messaging system “notifications at rowcall com”. There is no way of getting ahold of management if you need to straighten out an issue. Each violation is a hundred dollars! Not a bad business revenue right? If your board members are just a bunch of lunatics who try to hire RowCall- sell your property and move out! They will turn your life into a living hell!

After review, it was agreed that this review would be deleted as it is not factual. While we understand the frustration of your tenant creating the violation, it was in fact a valid.
