Eriks Bike Shop in ******** was very understanding for my situation since their was very little work that needed to be done on my bike. As a first time customer, I appreciate their customer service.I will be back there when I have any concerns for my bike.

I purchased a full suspension Specialized mountain bike for my son for Christmas. When I opened the box on Christmas eve I discovered they sold me a used bike they use for demo. A lot of reviews show they do this as a business practice. Then they offer you a $25 gift card. I filed a lawsuit in ********** and I am looking for people who have had the same experience.

I dont recommend purchasing from Eriks if you plan to have your items installed by another bike shop.I bought a set of tubeless Specialized tires online from Eriks and had them installed at a local shop. The shop discovered a manufacturing defect in the tires. Specialized, with photo evidence, offered to send replacements, but they were out of stock. When I contacted Eriks for a refund or replacement, they insisted I return the tires by having them uninstalled and shipped back to them first. Only then would they send a new set.I have never worked with a bike shop so unwilling to make a customer's life easier on a fairly small purchase.

      Hello,

We're sorry to hear about your experience and can understand your frustration with the warranty process.

We support our products and customers as best we are able to, but there are limits to how we can assist with potential issues virtually. Once a product is used and a potential manufacturing defect may be observed, it has to be evaluated in person by an authorized dealer for submission to the manufacturer. Any dealer can do this free of charge for a quick and timely resolution. Oftentimes, these "defects" are actually issues with installation or use and can be resolved without replacement, but evaluation in-person by an authorized dealer would be needed.

Apologies again for the frustration, and please let us know if there's anything we can do to assist.

Thanks and have a great riding season!

Eriks bike shop has had my Aventon bike in for over a month ++ to get a spoke repaired. When I call to get updates I get no answers on timing or the delays and attitude like its my fault for calling them. They blame Aventon for the delays, this is the second dealing with these guys. My first Aventon was in the shop for over 2 months, due to power failure. After two months of doing nothing and my weekly calling for updates, the solution was a new battery. Which did not solve the problem. Their customer service is terrible and attitude is completely unprofessional. They will not fix the bike and told me to come pick it up. I will be taking the bike to Freedom Mobility in *******, this shop took my other aventon and fixed a broken spoke in 2 days and resolved the power issue. AVOID ERIKS BIKE SHOP they are terrible.

I had received a recent MN e-Bike Rebare Certificate. I visited an authorized dealer on 7/13/24, Erik's Bike Shop, ***************** ********. In the visit, we were also told of ****** Low Price Guarantee. Later on the phone, we ordered (****) an Aventon Level 2 e-Bike at a price of $1,899.99 plus assembly and taxes. We paid $434. to make the order. Our receipt showed on the bottom that "Returns are accepted within 30 days of origianal purchase". On July 19th, I went to the store to make final payment and pickup the e-Bike. I added a $34.99 helmet to the order. The checkout person, ****, did not indicate any return policy change but couple weeks later I become aware that the following appeared at the bottom on my 7/19th receipt, ****** Price Guarantee does not apply to these items". The person that trained me on how to use the e-bike gave me the "Bicycle Buyer's Warranty, Agreement and Checklist. It included the Low Price Guarantee which he also told me about it. On 7/22, I found that I could buy the identical e-bike for $200. less. The person at the store told me that they do not match Best Buy's price which is not included in low price warranty. However, for the first time he told me that Aventon offers a free battery on all in inventory purchase for a stated time period. I registered for this immeditately. This was the first time I had been told of this promotion. Plus one week ago, ****** started a sale on the same bike for $200. less, and it is within the 30 day windows. They refused to honor the Low Price Guarantee, and pointed out the words at bottom of my 7/19 receipt which is different from the 7/13 receipt. Ditto when I tried to return the helmet on 8/16. **** *******

I had Stopped in to purchase a bike since I had notice they had some on the sales floor so i wouldn't have to order it. After talking to the sales person they had suggested that I get a size larger then what I would normally ride because it would be more comfortable. After telling him I ride mostly DH and BMX so I prefer smaller frame because I like the amount of control that come from smaller frame so I wanted something similar in a trail bike. After a few back and forth we agreed to have me test ride the sized I wanted and the larger sized. I settled on the smaller sized and was ready to check out when I was told it will take three days to get the bike. Confused I ask why would it take three days the bike's in the store. I was told it is company policy to have the bike looked over and you can come pick it up in three days. So I asked if it ok to just buy and they don't have to worried about the check and that since I use to work for bike shop I have all the tools and equipment to work on them. I was again told no that I would still have to wait three days and that the fastest they could do it was one. So after already being annoyed from the first interaction about the sales person lack of understanding about bike sizes and rider preferences I simply ask for the ** back left the store. I still don't understand the three day wait for a bike check and once over. Needless to say I won't be going to **** for bikes in the future

      Hello ****,

Sorry to hear about your frustration with our buying process here at ****'s.

Yes, with all new bikes sold, we perform a thorough inspection, safety check, and accessory install before you take your new bike home. This process typically takes between 1-3 days depending on the business level at that store at that specific time. This process ensures your bike is perfectly dialed and ready to ride from the moment it rolls out the door. The accessory install is also free of charge with any accessories bought at ****'s. We know you want to get out and ride (and we want it too!) but this process guarantees a worry free ride with a bike custom tuned for your needs. You can also purchase ahead of time at shoperiks.com and we'll reach out as soon as your bike is ready for pickup. Give us a shout with any questions: *******************************************************.

Have a great riding season and swing on by if you ever want to pick up that new bike.

      Thanks,

If you are a novice, DO NOT TRUST Eriks not to take advantage of you!They...1. Recommended a bike that was too small for the rider (at their own admission). A "small" sized bike frame for a 5'10" tall rider.2. Sold us a used bike that was damaged and did not operate properly due to frayed gear shift cables (at their own admission told us it should never have been placed out on the sales floor until it had been repaired). 3. When asked to have a kick stand added, they chose their more expensive kick stand which was too big causing it to horribly rub on the tire, and was also not properly tightened down by their maintenance team causing it to move around. (Which could have caused a serious accident.)4. Weeks of snow prevented us from testing the bike further to discover how uncomfortable it was to ride. Being past the 30 day return policy, we never attempted to argue for a refund, despite their many mistakes, including clearly selling us a bike they shouldn't have. Despite poor service we remained polite, friendly and understanding, explained the whole situation, only asking to utilize their trade-in program so we could trade it in for a new bike from them that fit the rider better. After telling us to bring the bike in (which was in identical condition to purchase), management told us there was nothing he could do and walked away with no explanation.5. To add to our poor experience in working with ****'s, we then took the bike to another place where we were told the gear shift cables were not even properly repaired.I will never shop at Eriks again, nor recommend them to anyone else. If you shop at Eriks, everyone is very friendly there. Just do not trust them to sell you a bike that is appropriate for you. Do not trust any repair work they do on your bike, including making sure things are properly fastened down. Do your own research! And for gods sake do not buy a used bike from them unless you are really knowledgeable and know what you are doing!

Horrible customer service!! Ordered a new bike online that had a handful of scratches in different areas and missing parts. Its a $2500+ bike (Same price as advertised on the Specialized website). They offered a $25 gift card and the missing parts would be sourced and sent to me. Kept telling me it was cosmetic and the bike was still functional. Somehow they think its acceptable to sell damaged products. This bike was clearly mistreated. I regret buying from this store. It was a horrible experience. I would have never purchased this bike in person without a discount. I would have been ok with a 10% discount. In my opinion 1% was a joke.

Hello ****, We're sorry to hear about your experience. All of our bikes are located on the retail sales floor and are assembled, transported, disassembled for shipping, and eventually shipped to you, so minor cosmetic blemishes can occur. After reviewing the photos you provided, we have offered and you have accepted $25 for compensation for these minor cosmetic blemishes. The bike was already discounted $1000 from retail price so we are happy to see you took advantage of that great deal. Otherwise with any purchase at ****'S, you are eligible for a return within 30 days of purchase as long as that return meets the regular return criteria. Thanks and have a great riding season. -****'S

When ordering on line BE SURE WHAT YOU ARE ORDERING IS THE CORRECT SIZE. The return policy here is HORRIBLE. I ordered a pair of snowboard boots and unfortunately they were too small. While offering to to refund me for the boots *************, ****'s made zero effort to reduce my shipping costs. I requested a prepaid label with the understanding they could reduce my refund to cover it and was uncategorically denied. All I got was a quote of their return policy. BAD business. Fitting ski's, bikes and snowboard boots isn't an exact science, if you want to do online business you really need to work with your customers. There's plenty of other on line shops that do that. ****** learned, If buying on line, REVIEW the return policy and DO NOT BUY from ****'s!!!!

Hello ****, Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry to hear we weren't able to provide a positive experience for you. We were able to look up your order and see that you purchased some great closeout Ride snowboard boots that were priced at $129.99 discounted from $249.00 with free shipping from ****'s to you. We were happy that we were able to provide a substantial discount of 48% on the product and free shipping but unfortunately we cannot also provide return shipping free of charge. However, we are able to facilitate any exchange (with free shipping) or refund if the sizing doesn't work out for you. Our product experts are available via phone, text, chat, or email to help answer any questions you have. ****'s Brain Trust team is an experienced group of riders and should be able to talk you through products, sizings, or any other questions you have. Sorry again to hear about your experience and please reach out with additional questions: ******************************************************* *******************************

Purchased bikes for my grandkids at the Grafton location. Wanted to shop local and the sales person played up the Trade In policy. Perfect as they get bigger I can trade in bikes for larger bikes! One year later, I stop in to look at new bikes for Christmas (planning on the trade in) to be told they changed their policy and would not stand by their word or honor the purchase contract which specifies trade in availability. The sales associate was dismissive and did not think it is unethical. Congratulations you have lost a customer whom would have been loyal for new bikes for all my grandchildren for the next 18 years!!! Not only that they will be getting new snowboards this year from their parents but they will not be purchased at Eriks. Poor customer service. Im sure it wont be a problem finding a reputable bike shop that will stand by their word.

Hello ******, We're sorry to hear about this experience. I took a look at your purchase history. It looks like you purchased two bikes in 2022. You purchased a new bike, the Specialized Hotrock 24 inch in pink, on 3/11/22 and that bike is eligible for trade-in store credit up to six years after purchase. You also purchased a used Specialized Riprock 16 inch in black, on 3/30/22 and that bike is not eligible as a trade-in as it was a used bike. Full details on these policies can be found here: ************************************************************. There will be specific trade-in details for both of these bikes on the paperwork that came with the bike at the time of purchase as well. We apologize if there was any confusion or misinformation given about this. You can sell used bikes privately or donate to a local charity if desired. Please reach out if there's anything we can help with now or in the future. ******************************************************* -****'s ****************
