8/12/22-8/18/22 I communicated with North Hennepin Community College staff regarding a sudden change in registration status. I originally registered for classes through their eServices platform, which report absolutely no holds at the time of registration. I was instructed to file a financial aide appeal on 8/15 and received a denial of appeal on 8/18. Following the appeal decision, I immediately went back to the eService platform and withdrew from classes. I knew I couldnt afford to pay for studies at NHCC without the assistance. I registered an currently attend class elsewhere. On 9/15/22, I received an automated message from NHCC stating i had a balance due for Fall 2022. Confused is an understatement, I called NHCC admissions the same day to understand what went wrong and how we could get this corrected. I received a call back from a helpful NHCC staff persons who although, seemed just as puzzled as I was. She acknowledged my attempt to withdraw from classes and told me shed have to escalate the matter and Id receive a call back. On or around 9/17/22-9/19/22 I received another call stating the individual who could rectify this right away was out of the office, and that oddly enough the classes still were showing up as registered. I then asked if I should attempt the process again via eServices. I was told the platform would not recognize the withdrawal being so close to the cut off, that my attempts to withdraw prior has been heavily notated, and to rest assured the issue is being taken care of.9/22/22 I received another call, this one being undoubtedly different from the others. The individual was very condescending and stated that I owed for that semester despite my attempts, prior conversations, and the fact that I didnt receive educational services that semester. That nothing could be done! After some back and forth the individual stated, Ill send you an appeal form but good luck with that and hung up. My appeal of tuition fees was also denied!
