    I went online to FrightProps.com website to purchase a linear actuator and a DMX decoder. At the time, there were no measurement specifications to be found for the actuator (they have since corrected this) and for the decoder the photo showed that it had an enclosure. I spoke to support and told them the measurements and exactly what I was doing and what I needed, I then purchased the items THEY recommended.When I received them, the actuator was way too long, and the decoder not only didn't have the advertised enclosure, it also wasn't designed to be used for this application. An electrician friend, his electronics expert friend and I painstakingly tried to get the decoder to work but to no avail.I then put in motion to return the two items and have them replaced and while they waived the return shipping cost and restocking fee, they were unwilling to waive the replacement items shipping cost (they said it was a "new order"). This would have caused me to have to pay for shipping twice. I should not have to pay for any additional shipping since this was due to THEIR error and I was not able to choose the correct items at the outset. If they had the measurements and factual information on their website, then I would have only had to make one order and pay for one shipping cost only. Since they refused to take responsibility for their error, I returned all items ordered and have found the same/equivalent items elsewhere (mostly Amazon) and at half the price FrightProps charges.How can FrightProps improve? By taking full responsibility for any errors they make.
