  l can tell you it was excellent working with Alex throughout the roofing of my house. The job was completed ahead of time and it passed City inspection. l have no hesitation recommending Avalon construction to others!

  Firstly, the company employed a subcontractor to roof the house. While working on the roof, one of the roofers started to pee in my yard while looking into one of the windows of the house. I was working at home so I saw his head and went to the window as he began to pull his pants down. So, I ran outside to yell at him and he cursed me and then went over to a tree, still in my yard, to finish. I went to the front of the house to yell for the supervisor. While waiting for one of the non-English speakers to get over to talk to me, another gentleman flicked a lit cigarette butt into my yard! When I finally confronted the supervisor, I told him how unacceptable this was. Also, they were throwing stuff off the roof to a worker below who had no hard hat. The roofers actually did a decent job and cleaned up after themselves. When the owner of Avalon came over a couple days later, I complained about the peeing, etc. and he said he wanted proof of my complaints with pictures. He never apologized either. He also just barged into our back yard and never knocked on the door first. This company is super sketchy based on my experience and research.

  As the owner of Avalon Construction, I have to say that not everything listed about our company is exactly true. Yes, we employ subcontractors for various trades in which we don't specialize. For example, when it comes to exterior painting, we hire subcontractors or refer them.As a company, we are OSHA compliant and follow all safety measures. Yes, when removing shingles from the roof, we dispose of them directly into a dumpster whenever possible. Wearing a helmet when replacing the roof is not required.Yes, we do have crews with limited English proficiency who are insured, legal, and skilled in their jobs. We haven't changed our crews for the last 10 years.As the owner of Avalon Construction, I sincerely apologize for the entire situation and ask for a possible picture or description of the person who has done all these bad things at the property address. No one on our team smokes cigarettes. We bring portable bathrooms if necessary or make quick runs to local gas stations. We have never received a complaint about someone urinating in someone else's backyard.I personally pick up leftover materials, but I have never intruded into someone's backyard. We always knock on customers' doors. Additionally, it is a rental property, and I informed the landlord prior to my visit.Furthermore, renters had concerns about why we were replacing the roof when it was "fine," personally calling me and my team a bunch of crooks. We are not crooks. We were hired by the landlord, had a contract signed, replaced the roof, conducted a thorough cleanup, closed the permit, and, in my opinion, completed our job very well, not to mention upgrading the roof at no extra charge.Once again, we are not a sketchy company. We are local to the ****************** and have an A+ rating with the BBB.Once again, I sincerely apologize. I individually asked everyone whether they smoked on the property or attempted to urinate by the house. It is hard to imagine someone doing this, whether they are English speakers or not. We just never found out who it was, but we are taking any complaints very seriously. We have solid feedback and, as a company, expanded to meet all local demands.

  It was good working with Alex throughout the whole project. The roof was finished in timely manner, the area around the house was cleaned up. The inspection passed. Happy customer.
