I am a medical scientist who now runs a small consulting and writing business that is highly client-focused, and I depend on trusting relationships to keep my clientele happy. They were running into issues with x** company, so I switched to Stripe. From what I understood, the Payment for Stripe (***) website indicated it could be used as a standalone product. The site looks great, seems to get good reviews, and otherwise looks secure and legitimate. I think it work great if it was integrated with Stripe and is a decent product. Unfortunately, that is where I was wrong. I couldn't access my Stripe account for a couple of days, so thinking it would be ok to use it alone, I took a client payment through ***. It took the payment, but I couldn't access it. I worked with the Stripe team to get Stripe working. Once the two platforms were integrated, Stripe could not access the payment from *** because I used the *** app to take the payment as a standalone. I was in contact with the Stripe team, and we did not find the payment. It was confirmed it went to ***.I emailed the *** founder. The website claims that support is there to help with anything at any time, and boasts fantastic customer service. It's wrong, he didn't even try. I explained my situation and got this reply: Unfortunately, as a 3rd party app, your request is not something we can assist with. For any requests falling into the following buckets, you'll need to contact Stripe Support directly:* Stripe product suite or specific Stripe product features * Account issues (disabled or rejected accounts)* Payout timing or other issues with being paid * Stripe ***************** (like WisePad 3, WisePOS ** ****** M2 and S700)As mentioned previously, you'll need to contact Stripe Support directly for further assistance:************************************************ I tried to refund the customer through ***, and they paid me through the Stripe app. However, they never got their refund from ***. I can't get help from ***,
