On May 25 2022, I entered into an agreement with Bloomington Dodge to order a new 2022 Dodge Challenger. The vehicle arrived July 11th and I finalized the deal with ******************* and ********************* his finance manager July 15 2022. The entire sales process with *** went well, however, during payment of the vehicle is where my complaint(s) are directed. During the initial order process in May, I was informed $99 down was required to start the order. I did so paying cash and was given a receipt. On July 15, after I wrote and gave ********************* a check for the total due, I realized the $99 was not deducted from the total amount. I then asked *** about the $99; he informed me their main finance office would send me the check. As of today, August 3 2022, over two weeks have passed and I have not received any refund. Also, after arriving home and inspecting the sales receipt for the car I purchased the day prior, something didn't seem right. After going through the numbers numerous times I discovered I was charged an additional amount of $125 to the "cash price of vehicle" for no listed/itemized reason. Prior to placing the order in May, I asked *** if any other fees would need to be paid once the vehicle arrived. *** contacted his sales manager, ******************* and was informed there were no additional fees. The price for the vehicle agreed on was $36,477. Ironically this $125 amount is the exact amount the dealership charges for their document fee. This is itemized as "Admin. Document Fee", and itemized on my receipt as such. Whether or not it was added by mistake or intentional I do not know. I feel I paid the document fee twice (plus the additional sales tax of $8.13) as no other fees should've been added to price of the vehicle. So, my complaint is for a refund check in the amount of $99 for down payment made plus $133.13 for an additional doc fee (w/tax) paid. Total = $232.13.Will Bloomington Dodge make this right by sending me a refund check? Only time will tell.

We apologize for the accounting mistake on this deal.  We issued the customer refund for $99 the day after his complaint was filed.  Walser spoke with the customer 8/29 and will be issuing an additional $125 refund as well.

     Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I received a check for $125 today 9-1 however, it did not include the $8.13 in sales tax paid as per complaint. I will overlook this however as it was not discussed during the phone conversation with the general manager when he called me ****. The next time I visit his dealership payment will be fulfilled via his snack bar. ;)
