They took ownership of our apartment complex 4 years ago, and our rent as gone up significantly with the quality of life decreasing. They do not maintain the cleanliness of the property. They are impossible to get ahold of, and the constant turnover of the property manager tells me that they do not treat their employees well. They take weeks or months to fix anything, and it takes multiple maintenance requests to get even a leak fixed. They charge an outrageous amount to just have a cat, which the previous owner charged a reasonable fee for. We cannot wait to get far away from them, although they are buying up all the properties in the area. A genuinely awful, money hungry property owner.

When we moved in, in Feb of 2022, we asked if we could use a window unit and of course I didn't get it in writing so that's my fault. They told us we could us one. However now all of the sudden they are changing their mind and tell us to remove it. Citing that in the lease it says we can't alter the apartment (remove a window screen) the screen was removed by Olympic village maintenance and the window ac was installed by Olympic village maintenance. We did not alter the apartment. They did. Now we have removed the window unit because they are threatening to terminate our lease and evict us. Also the office is very difficult to get a hold of and they lady we have spoken with since we signed our lease ***** was quite rude to my wife and tried to talk over her about the issue. Also the rent was raised quite a bit from the first year. **** for a 10 month lease to **** for a 12 month lease now. The 10 month would have been 13 something.Update July 2023: We just tried to use the pool for the first time this summer and guess what. It is closed and emptied for who knows what reason with no e-mail explanation.Update Sep 2023 Our light in our garage broke just by opening the door.We are allowed by law to have the Information from the previous tenants move out inspection and so far they are refusing to give it to us. As well as the door has a huge gap under it, multiple spiders have come in our apartment over the summer. Now that it is winter almost we are expecting ice to freeze inside the window and down the wall just like it did last year. The picture about the sink, the leak was repaired temporarily but the sink has of course not been replaced yet like they said.

I lived at Woodhaven Apartments before and after being taken over by Center Space. The only things that increased as quickly as the service declined after Center Space taking over, were the rent and cost of utilities. Maintenance requests were largely ignored (I still have one from Oct 2022 for example), piles of garbage in the parking lot were not unusual and after months of getting the runaround from both Center Space and ********** Utilities (emphasis on "Con") I was never given a reasonable breakdown of how utilities are calculated. I was already planning to move out when the fire happened. The fire largely destroyed the south wing of the building and was made worse by the fact the standpipes for fighting fires within the building, were non-functional. I could go on, but I see from previous reviews, several other tenants have had similar experiences and I'll let you read their reviews instead. In short, under no circumstances should anyone ever rent from Center Spaces. Again, DO NOT RENT FROM CENTER SPACE. Side note: Why is it not possible to leave a zero star review?

Hello, Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. You had a significant residency at Woodhaven, thank you for the years you spent in that home. Our records indicate minimal workorders during your residency, all which were resolved. The fire within the community had several impacts on our residents and we thank you for sharing your feedback as this can only help us to improve operations to in-house practices and unexpected situations. We wish you nothing but the best in your new home.

In December of 2021, I toured the complex and was told by the leasing agent that if I submitted an application, they would reserve a specific unit for me at a rent of $1800. I stressed that it was important to finalize something quickly since I was leaving town soon. I completed the application and reserved the unit. However, while I was out of town, the leasing agent contacted me and said that the reserved unit needed repairs that would take 6-8 months. The property manager later confirmed to me that this was a lie. They then offered to move me into a similar unit that met my original criteria, but when I returned to see the unit, it did not meet my criteria at all. I was stuck in it temporarily while waiting for a better unit to become available. After a month of waiting, a similar unit to the one originally promised became available, but the rent was $2300, which was $500 more than the original unit. I was unable to break the lease without paying high fees, so I had to move into the new unit.To add insult to injury, the new tenants of the temporary unit that I stayed in were charged $200 more per month than I was paying, but I was not credited the difference. In total, the lie ended up costing me $6000 extra over the one year that I lived there. However, it doesn't end there. It seems like the leasing office took advantage of the Superior fire by raising rents on people who lost their homes to the disaster. This is disappointing, especially given the atrocious leasing experience I had with them. Living in this apartment was a nightmare. When I moved in during winter, the heat was not on, and during the summer, the ** went out multiple times for several weeks each time, and nothing was done about it. The gate is always broken, and my bike was stolen from my closed garage.

I don't think where I live in ***** is aware tenants have rights. Me, my disabled son and dog were threatened and harassed at an extreme level for over a year. Refusing to fix maintenance issues, the major one being the mold in my bathroom. Requests and emails ignored, marked completed in the portal but, no one had even been here. For other things as well. Brought legal false claims against me and my son, was dismissed. They brought zero evidence, because it was lies, on legal documents. Management is not held accountable, so it still continues. Excessive violations and fee that I just happen to find sometimes, they don't email me or anything. Just put them in there. It's an intense and very long ongoing issue, forced to find an attorney. Lack of ethics, morals, honesty but worst of all, no humanity. They do NOT care about tenants!
