      I paid this company for services that were not provided--and they've not reimbursed what I paid now, despite promises to do so made several months ago. The company does not reply to emails promptly (if at all).

      Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

      This client hired Catalyst Publicity for marketing and publicity services, along with strategic advisory support throughout the publishing process. I offered him a flat project rate at 25% of my standard feea steep discount extended as a personal favor due to a mutual connection.

      From the outset, it was clear the client would need significant guidance navigating an unfamiliar landscape, which is why I structured the engagement around advisory rather than execution.

      The contract did not include editorial services or execution of production tasks. Nonetheless, the client requested assistance with formatting his manuscript in ********* Wordan approach I advised against, as it falls outside industry standards for producing a professional, print-ready book. I provided limited guidance in good faith, but this was well outside the agreed-upon scope.

      Shortly thereafter, the client sent a brief message informing me that a local publisher would be handling the marketing and publicity for his book instead. Based on my knowledge of that publisher, they operate as a vanity press with no established distribution or press relationships outside their own channels. I would not recommend them to any client seeking credible media coverage or meaningful reachbut the decision was his to make.

      The client requested a refund before transitioning to this publisher. As I had already delivered significant advisory services, and per the terms of our agreement, I do not offer refunds once work has been performed. However, I told him I would consider a refund if and when my cash flow allowed, in the interest of preserving goodwill. As a solo operator, the sudden termination of a project midstream left a scheduling gap that directly impacted my business.

      The client's claim that I do not respond to emails is inaccurate. I was communicative throughout the project, with the sole exception of a brief period recently when I was out of office following the death of my fathera loss I publicly acknowledged. During that time, the client sent several increasingly hostile emails. I did not respond while on bereavement leave.

      This review appears less about the quality of services rendered and more about dissatisfaction with the consequences of decisions the client made against my professional advice. I regret that he is unhappy, but I stand by the work I delivered and the professionalism with which I conducted our engagement.

      Ive been in business for over 20 years and have maintained an A+ BBB rating since 2003. I take that track record seriously. I stand by the quality of my work, the clarity of my contract, and the professionalism with which I conducted myself throughout this engagement.
