    This journey of finding a safe, enjoyable space for loved ones has been easily derailed by extremely poor management. Having a wonderful environment and staffing, consistent care and a working respect with family members of residents- evaporated - once this brand new 'Flag Ship' Boulder Ponds Senior Living lost almost the entire crew after 6-9 months of opening. This was not a fact of life during COVID 19, This was incompetence of the Management/executive management not providing the HELP the Nursing Staff / HHA / Activities begged for- repeated attempts (3 executive directors in less than 2 years) went ignored by Corporate. Memory Care (legacy) residents have not had ANY activities employees for 5 months. The entire facility has been without a Director of Nursing (R.N.) for 6 months - Newly hired DON lasted 3 days before walking out. This is NOT due to the lovely residents... it is due to ZERO Standard of Operations - Zero Oversight - the Hostility of Current Exec Director actually threatening employees and writing them up if they 'appear to be too attached'. {imagine how much work they are tasked with - and holding a hand of a resident is NOT part of the job??) Residents in both Assisted Living and Memory care and their families DO not get communications from Exec Director - Meal plans that were part of the inclusive plan are now being billed separately - less menu options - raising the cost per month for a couple over $800.00. Temporary Agencies have been used as they got rid of great employees..they do not equipe the Temps with training, or job duties and as there is zero over site - we get to watch while they ignore the residents and have their phones and and tapping. Do Not be fooled by the 'Pretty, Shiny things' you will see . If they cannot keep STAFF there is a cancer that comes from the Top Down. 5 star Reviews were all posted over 2 years ago BY STAFF MEMBERS that did not last the 1st year.     We appreciate your feedback and offer our sincerest apologies for the experience outlined in your review. We are working diligently to ensure a enhanced onboarding experience as well as a comprehensive recruitment strategy to increase *************************** staffing levels. This included adding a Talent Acquisition Partner to increase outreach efforts and timeliness of communication with applicants as well as piloting a ***************** Specialist to oversee the orientation and training of new employees. We are happy to announce that in our recent annual Employee Engagement Survey, of 83% of employees that participated, 88% stated they would still choose to work at *************************** in 6 months, which is nearly double the retention rate projected in last years survey. In addition, since January 2023, *************************** has hired 13 employees and retained 85% of those employees to date. The Director of Health Services that started in April 2023 requested a transfer to a hospice role within the organization due to her passion for that line of work. During her exit interview regarding ***************************, the culture and leadership team within the community was never a deciding factor of her decision to deviate from the senior living division. Our ********************* has maintained ongoing activities during the absence of a full-time *********** activities assistant. We have had a Lifespark ******************* employee working Monday Friday for several months to ensure activities are provided as scheduled. We have had no lapses in Director of Health Services responsibilities as the Regional Clinical Consultant filled in as the Interim Director of Health Services since October April and remained onsite 4 days/week during that timeframe. We currently have an Interim Director of Health Services from a sister community assisting with the onboarding of the new Director of Health Services to ensure a positive onboarding experience and optimal training in her new role. We thank you for your feedback regarding the Executive Director and leadership team. We can attest that multiple avenues of leadership development are underway to cultivate a positive top down working environment amongst the team. The meal service increases that are referenced in this review were grandfathered in to all residents prior to August 2021 for two years. These concessions were never meant to be a long-term benefit, but were in response to regulation changes by the ********* Department of Health. The complaints outlined in this review have been investigated by the ********* Department of Health during a recent Office of Health Facility Complaint onsite survey and there were no substantiated findings during that investigation. The investigation summary can be found online via the ********* Department of Healths website.
