I generally don’t leave reviews but I felt my positive experience with Avila’s warranted something posted on their behalf. I received one of their flyers in my mailbox and since I had a dying Ash tree that finally needed to come down I figured I’d get an estimate. I called on a Saturday afternoon and received an immediate call back. Had an onsite estimate within 2 hours that was $800 below the other two estimates I had received for takedown and stump grinding. A date and time was agreed upon with the scheduler, (which was delayed due to my travel schedule- they could have started on Monday) and the crew showed up on time on the scheduled date. Total job time was estimated at 3.5 hours and they were spot on. Ground the stump better than I’ve had done before and left the yard the cleanest they could given the snow pack on the ground. They offered to come back and do final cleanup from the stump grinding after the snow has cleared at no additional charge to finish the last little cleanup job. I would definitely recommend Avila’s tree service to others and use them again.

The company does a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. They have taken down two MASSIVE trees in my backyard with extreme precision and for a lot less than the other companies had quoted me.

I have read up now through the BBB website on customer reviews on Avila Tree Trimming Service and regret that I didn't read up on them sooner. There are a number of MN tree trimming companies and if you can possibly use a different company, I would. Wanted the company to come back because we were unsatisfied with their original work on our tree. They came back and looked and after a number of missed appointments, we lined up a new date, only for them not to show again. As usual, I called and was told a new time. When they did not show at the new time, I was told that she was going to get in touch with someone and call me back. As you can see, I am still waiting. Do NOT recommend. Unless you have a lot of time.

I needed a very large ash tree removed from my front yard. My regular and trusted arborist had recently retired so I was left in search of a new company to take on the task of removing the very large tree over hanging my house and my neighbors house as well. After several contacts and quotes I got a mailer advertising Avila's tree service. I called for a quote. They showed up within the hour. Most places took several days. They gave me a quote which was much better than any previous quote. They also said they could start the next day. I agreed but was skeptical about my quick acceptance of this company I knew nothing about. The next day they showed up and got to work. They were some of the most skilled and definitely the hardest working group of guys I've seen. Long story short they removed the tree without even denting a shingle, ground the stump better than any other service I have seen, and cleaned up leaving my yard looking better than it did when they arrived. I cannot highly recommend them enough. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I will definitely call them for any future tree service needs.

I cannot give Avila even 1 star, but I had to in order to post a review. I called and was made to put up with an un-understandable phone connection. Ater many "excuse me's" and " what's that's" on my part I was finally able to make an appointment for an in person estimate. Someone came to look at our tree and while parked in front of our house called us on his phone ( bashful ? uncaring ? ) with an estimate, which was 4 times higher than our next estimate. I would suggest looking elsewhere because there are many tree services that appreciate their customers and their business.

My neighbor had some tree work done. This company dropped their huge tree in my yard and proceeded to cut up the tree in my yard, rolled enormous logs down my hill which has plants and is a retaining hill. Any reputable company would have used a crane for the size of this tree especially one on a hill this size. This company never asked my permission to use my yard or at least give a heads up. They left an enormous mess in my yard when they left with no plan to clean up.
