    I contracted with 4 Seasons Tree Care to trim (top off) winter-damaged Arborvitaes, cut all the Arborvitaes' dead branches in my backyard, and haul away the branches. The work took place on Jun 8 and was done in one hour. I paid in full before they left. After they were gone, I went to look at their work, and saw they did not cut all of the dead branches, so I sent this message: "Hi *****. I just saw that the dead branches next [were not] removed from the fence side of the Arborvitaes. I thought all dead branches were going to be removed, not just front facing." This message was not responded to, so I sent another on July 14: "Hi *****. Any idea when you'll be back to finish removing the dead branches?" This was not answered, nor were the messages I sent on Aug 3, Sep 8, and Oct 11. On the advice of someone from MN BBB, I called and left a voice message for *****. He returned my call a few days later. His excuse for not responding before was he'd gotten a new phone and had no messages from me. He agreed to come out on Oct 23, but unfortunately I needed to cancel. When I asked about rescheduling, he gave excuses about being understaffed, but finally agreed to come out the next week, which didn't happen. At one point when we talked, he mentioned giving me some money back because he felt bad about the situation or maybe he'd come out on the weekend, but this never happened either. I sent texts and/or left voice messages on Nov 5, 10, 11, 13, 15. He finally responded on the 15th with this text: "Sorry just got back next week", which didn't happen. I sent another text on Nov 20: "When will you be out?" and again it went unanswered. I decided to file this complaint when I saw that 4 Seasons was doing tree work only seven houses away from me on Dec 19 & 20. It's now been 7 months and I'm still waiting for work to be done that I paid for. I've used 4 Seasons before; therefore, I never expected them to not complete a job they started. I'm quite disappointed and frustrated!

     Better Business Bureau:
    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. Just to be clear, to say I was happy is true only in the sense that this ordeal was finally over. The trimming was satisfactory, but the clean up wasn't quite as thorough. Oh well; I'm thankful the work is finally done.
